[(a) Public hearing to receive comments for or against the disannexation of a 34.16-acre tract of land located north of the Sienna Steep Bank Village residential subdivision, south of McKeever Road, east of Sienna Parkway, and west of Westpoint Estates residential subdivision. The proposed area of disannexation is currently being used as a temporary construction yard and is designated for suburban commercial uses on the Future Land Use Map of the Comprehensive Plan.]

UM, TO A DISCUSS DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION OF PUBLIC HEARING TO RECEIVE COMMENTS OR AGAINST THE DNX STATION OF 34.16 ACRES.

TRACK OF LAND LOCATED NORTH OF THE SIANNA STEEP BANK VILLAGE, RESIDENTIAL SUBDIVISION, SOUTH OF MCKEEVER ROAD, UH, EAST OF SIENNA PARKWAY AND WEST OF WEST POINT OF STATES RESIDENTIAL SUBDIVISION.

THE PROPOSED AREA OF DNX STATION IS CURRENTLY BEING USED AS A TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION YARD AND IT'S DESIGNATED FOR SUBURBAN COMMERCIAL USES ON THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN.

THIS ITEM WAS BROUGHT TO YOU A FEW WEEKS AGO OR INITIALLY PRESENTED TO YOU.

IT IS THE FIRST OF TWO PUBLIC HEARINGS FOR THE DECENTRALIZATION OF A 34.16 ACRE TRACT OF LAND THAT IS LOCATED IN THE SOUTHERN PORTION OF THE CITY IN THE SIENNA PLANTATION AREA.

THIS ITEM, UM, THE CONCEPT'S PLAN FOR THIS ITEM WAS JUST CONSIDERED BY THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION LAST WEDNESDAY.

THERE WERE NO CONCERNS OR OBJECTIONS BROUGHT UP AT THAT TIME.

UM, THE CITY HAS RECEIVED SOME CONCERNS FROM THE HOUSTON COMMUNITY COLLEGE SYSTEM.

HOWEVER, I AM WORKING WITH THE ATTORNEY FOR HCC AND TRYING TO PUT HER IN CONTACT WITH THE COUNTY AS WELL AS THE DEVELOPER'S ATTORNEY TO GET THAT THE ISSUES RESOLVED.

UM, THEY'RE NOT RELATED TO LAND USE BUT THEY'RE RELATED TO CERTAIN TAXING ISSUES.

UM, BUT WE ARE WORKING KIND OF OFFLINE TO GET THAT ITEM RESOLVED.

AND UM, AT THIS POINT THE ONLY ACTION, UH, THAT'S REQUESTED IS THAT THE CITY OPENED UP A PUBLIC HEARING TO RECEIVE ANY COMMENTS FOR OR AGAINST THE PROPOSED THIS ANNEXATION FROM THE PUBLIC.
