UH, SINCE THEN WE'VE HAD A BOND ELECTION NUMBER OF OTHER THINGS GOING ON.

WE'VE MADE A FEW MINOR CHANGES, UH, AND NOTHING DRASTICALLY SIGNIFICANT TO THE OVERALL DOCUMENT, WHICH IS 250 PAGES.

BUT IN SHORT, UM, AFTER THE BOND ELECTION WAS APPROVED, WE CHANGED OUR IMPLEMENTATION SCHEDULE.

NOW THAT WE KNEW THAT WE WERE GOING TO HAVE SOME, UH, VOTER APPROVED PROJECTS COMING UP, UH, WE CHANGED SOME DATES ON THOSE.

UH, THEY'RE KIND OF GUIDELINE DATE RANGES, WHERE WE'RE HOPING TO ACCOMPLISH THESE TASKS.

THAT ALL DEPENDS ON FUNDING AND AVAILABILITY OF RESOURCES AT THOSE TIMES.

SO THE MASTER PLAN GOALS HAVE FOUR DIFFERENT SECTIONS.

UM, PARKS AND RECREATION GOAL IN GENERAL IS TO PROVIDE HIGH QUALITY PARK SYSTEM.

AS WE WENT, ENCOURAGE PHYSICAL ACTIVITY, HEALTHY LIFESTYLES, AND WE'LL DO THAT BY INCORPORATING PARKS AND NATURAL OPEN SPACES, TRAILS, RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS, ALL OF THAT TOGETHER TO ACCOMMODATE FOR MISSOURI CITY'S DIVERSE AND PROGRESSIVE COMMUNITY.

AND WE ALSO HAVE A NATURAL OPEN SPACE GOAL AND THAT'S TO IDENTIFY, PROTECT AND CONSERVE NATURAL OPEN SPACES OR THE PRESERVATION OF PLANT AND ANIMAL HABITATS AND SENSITIVE ECOSYSTEMS, AND TO PROVIDE PRIMITIVE AND PASSIVE RECREATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE RESIDENTS AND VISITORS OF MISSOURI CITY.

THE THIRD GOAL IS TRAIL AND CONNECTIVITY GOAL.

WE WANT TO FOCUS ON EXPANDING THE TRAILS THROUGHOUT THE CITY, OUR GREENWAYS, OUR SIDEWALK SYSTEMS, AND USE THEM TO CONNECT DESTINATIONS, NOT JUST PARKS, BUT POSSIBLY DESTINATIONS, UH, AND ENCOURAGE THE COMMUNITY TO UTILIZE THE TRAILS AS AN ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORTATION OPTION.

AND THEN FINALLY, THE MAINTENANCE GOAL IS TO PROVIDE HIGH QUALITY TECHNICAL AND CONSISTENT MAINTENANCE AS WELL AS CUSTOMER SERVICE.

SO WE'RE MAKING SURE THAT MISSOURI CITY'S CITIZENS HAVE SAFE AND MISTAKENLY PLEASING FACILITIES, PARKS, AND TRAILS, AND OPEN SPACES.

THIS IS A LIST OF 15 DIFFERENT FUTURE AMENITY PRIORITIES.

SO I'LL JUST READ DOWN THE LIST.

UH, NUMBER ONE, THERE IS MULTI-PURPOSE PAVED AND NATURE TRAILS, ENHANCED LANDSCAPING AND FLOWER GARDENS, NATURAL AREAS AND WATCHER WATER FEATURES, SHADED AREAS, FISHING, PIERS, DOCKS, AND WILDLIFE VIEWING AREAS, A DOG PARK, BICYCLING OPPORTUNITIES, AQUATIC FACILITIES, MULTI-USE SPORTS COURTS, PLAYGROUNDS, INDOOR RECREATION CENTER, EXPANSION, MULTIPURPOSE LAWN AREAS WITH OPEN PLAY SPACES.

THIS GOLF COURSE, MULTI-PURPOSE SPORTS FIELDS, ADULT AND YOUTH BALL DIAMONDS.

THE MAJORITY OF ALL THIS CAME OUT OF VERY SURVEYS AND THROUGH THE PROCESS OF THE MASTER PLAN EFFORT.

NOW, THIS IS A TEN-YEAR PLAN 2021 THROUGH 2031.

AND WE'LL TAKE ANOTHER LOOK AT THIS IN ABOUT FIVE YEARS, AND WE'LL TRY TO IMPLEMENT A NEW ONE BETWEEN THE FIVE AND SEVEN YEAR MARK, BECAUSE THINGS CHANGE PRETTY QUICKLY.

AND AT THAT THAT'S THE SUGGESTED TIME PERIOD FOR TAKING A NEW LOOK AT A MASTER PLAN.

UH, SO WE'VE GOT THREE DIFFERENT YEAR RANGES THAT WE'RE CATEGORIZING THIS 10, THIS 10 YEAR PLAN IN FOR PROJECT IMPLEMENT A PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION.

THE FIRST OF WHICH IS THE MOST IMMEDIATE, THE NEXT THREE TO FOUR

ONE OF THOSE IS RIDGEVIEW PARK.

THAT WAS PART OF THE BOND ISSUE THAT WAS JUST PASSED THIS NOVEMBER.

SO AS SOON AS WE SELL THOSE BONDS AND WE GET THE FUNDING, WE'LL MOVE FORWARD WITH US, SAME THING WITH BICENTENNIAL PARK.

HOWEVER, I DON'T THINK IT'S GOING TO BE QUITE AT A MILLION.

SO IT'S TRULY A SPORTS PARK WITH MULTIPLE PURPOSES.

UH, WE'RE VERY HOPEFUL THAT WE CAN START A DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTATION OR DOCUMENTS, UH, IN THE, IN THIS CALENDAR YEAR AND HOPING THAT WE COULD POSSIBLY EVEN START CONSTRUCTION, YOU KNOW, SHOVELING DIRT WITHIN THE NEXT TWO YEARS, THAT WILL BE A MULTI-YEAR PROJECT.

UH, HERE'S WHERE IT COMES INTO OUR NEW CLASSIFICATION DEVELOP, UH, THIS UNDEVELOPED PARKLAND.

IZEA 10 AS PARK'S EDGE, THAT'S OVER JUST IT'S THE RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT.

SO WE'RE VERY CLOSE TO MOVING FORWARD WITH THAT PROCESS.

AND HOPEFULLY WE'LL HAVE A NEW PARK OUT THERE WITHIN THE NEXT YEAR TO TWO PARKS EDGE IS A 3.83 ACRE PARCEL.

THAT'S IN THE PARK'S EDGE, RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT TO THE DIRECT EAST OF COMMUNITY PARK IN ZONE 10 FREEDOM TREE PARK.

THIS WAS ANOTHER BOND ISSUE IN, UM, I THINK I MISSED AN EDIT THERE.

IT HAS A YEAR RANGE THAT WE'VE ACTUALLY MOVED UP TO THE 20, 20 TO 2025.

AGAIN, WE WENT TO INCREASE AND INCREASE TECHNOLOGY INFRASTRUCTURE IN THE PARKS.

WE ALSO WANT TO CONTINUE TO IMPROVE THE ACCESSIBILITY BY IMPLEMENTING THE 2021 ADA THAT'S AMERICAN WITH DISABILITIES ACT, TRANSITION PLAN OVER TIME.

AGAIN, THAT'S ANOTHER THING THAT'S BE CITYWIDE.

AND WE'RE PLANNING ON TAKING THE PRESENTATION TO COUNCIL, UM, PROBABLY FEBRUARY 21ST, ASSUMING AND HOPING THAT WE GET A POSITIVE FROM BOTH OF THE COMMISSION AND THE PARKS BOARD AT THAT TIME, WE DO PLAN OPTION OR PLAN ADOPTION.

AND THEN WE START TO START THE WORK, APPLY FOR GRANTS AND TRY TO START CHECKING THINGS OFF THE LIST WITH THAT I'M AVAILABLE FOR ANY QUESTIONS YOU HAVE.
