UM, IT WILL DEVELOP APPROXIMATELY 37 SINGLE FAMILY LOTS AND PER THE CITY OF MISSOURI CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES, ANY RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT OVER FIVE ACRES REQUIRES A PARKLAND DEDICATION.

THE DEVELOPER HAS, UM, PROPOSED TO PAY CASH IN LIEU OF A PARKLAND DEDICATION AND THE AMOUNT OF, UH, $51,000 AND $851,800 THAT WILL GO TOWARDS, UM, PARK ZONE SEVEN.

SO BEING ABLE TO WORK WITH A SUBDIVISION LIKE THIS TO, TO GET THEM TO, UM, TO, UH, INCLUDE IT ON THEIR PROPERTY IS MAKES ONE STEP CLOSER FOR US TO BEING ABLE TO, TO GET IT, UM, UH, TO EX EXPAND IT ALL THE WAY TO ROME PARK, UM, AGAIN, IS A SUPER SMALL PIECE OF PROPERTY THAT, UM, HAVING, HAVING PEDESTRIAN ACCESS TO ROME PARK WOULD BE THE BEST ACCESS TO, UM, TO THIS, TO THE, TO THIS HOUSING DEVELOPMENT.

UH, INSTEAD OF HAVING TO GO OUT TO CARTRIGHT, HANG A RIGHT, GO WELL DOWN TO TEXAS PARKWAY, HANG A RIGHT, GO ALL THE WAY AROUND.

THAT WAY, IF WE CAN DO A, A FOOT PATH FROM THE BACKSIDE OF THESE SUBDIVISIONS INTO ROME PARK, THEN IT'S, UH, MUCH MORE ACCESSIBLE.

AND SO, ONE OF THE REASONS WHY AND WHERE I WAS GOING WITH IT AS WELL, UH, WHEN YOU LOOK AT THIS DEVELOPMENT, JUST, I DON'T KNOW IF YOU ALL PHYSICALLY KNOW WHERE IT'S LOCATED AT, UH, AND ROME PARK IS, THE PARK IS WHENEVER THEY DEDICATE, WANNA DO MORE MONEY THAN LAND AND NOT PUT APART, BECAUSE I'M LIKE, WELL, HOW, YOU KNOW, YOU ALL TRAINED ME, DON'T TAKE THE MONEY.

DON'T, YOU KNOW, WE GOTTA HAVE ACCESS TO A PARK.

WE WERE TALKING ABOUT PUTTING IN, UH, OUR ORIGINAL PLANS.

WE WERE CONSIDERING DOING A SPLASH PAD, THAT TYPE OF THING.

UM, PLAYGROUNDS, UH, AGAIN, JUST, YOU KNOW, JUST GENERAL PLAY, OPEN PLAY FIELDS, UH, SEVERAL DIFFERENT THINGS THAT WERE NEEDED IN THE COMMUNITY.

UM, WHAT HAPPENED OR WHAT'S GOING ON WITH IT IS THAT ONE REASON WE'RE LOOKING FOR POSSIBLE HELP WITH THE CITY.

AFTER WE DID ALL OUR BUDGETING AND TALKING ABOUT SPLASH PADS AND EVERYTHING ELSE, WE CAME UP WITH A COST OF OVER 2 MILLION TO DEVELOP THE PARK.

AND AS, UH, IS POINTED OUT JUST A MINUTE AGO, PART OF THIS PROPERTY IS, UH, SIX PLUS ACRES IS GOING TO BE USED FOR THE WATER PLANT.

BUT THE REST OF, UH, AREAS, UH, IS GOING TO BE USED FOR THE PARK.

UH, AS REQUIREMENT OF THE ZONING THAT WE GOT APPROVED, THE CITY REQUIRED US TO PUT UP A WALL BETWEEN QUAIL GREEN WEST SECTION TWO, AND THE PARK THAT WAS REQUIRED TO BE A EIGHT FOOT MASONRY WALL.

SO WE HAVE DONE THAT PLUS SOME PERIMETER FENCING ON COURT BLUE AND, UH, COLUMBIA, UM, COURT ROAD AND COLUMBIA BLUE.

UH, ANYWAY, THEY DID THOSE IN WITH THAT WORK.

ALL THOSE, UH, COST TO DO THAT WORK IS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD OF $200,000 TO DO THAT.

UH, WE HAD EX UH, PLANNED AN EXTENSIVE PARKING LOT TO DO IT, A RESTROOM FACILITY AND ALL THOSE, THAT TYPE OF THINGS.

AND AGAIN, SO NOW IT'S GONNA BE SOMETHING LESS THAN THE $2 MILLION WE ALREADY PROJECTED.

BUT WE WERE LOOKING TO DO A FIRST PHASE OF IT, GETTING THE PLAYGROUND IN RESTROOM AND, UH, PARKING FACILITIES.

SO, UH, IN THE FIRST PHASE, UH, THE PARKING FACILITIES, UH, DIDN'T, UH, WAYNE SALK'S WORKING ON THOSE BUDGETS, BUT THE PLAYGROUND AND THE, UH, PRE-FABRICATED SHADE STRUCTURE, UH, PAVING AND JUST, AND A, UH, ESSENTIAL ORIGINAL PART OF THE PARK AND, AND THE RESTROOM WE'RE LOOKING AT FUNDS THAT NEEDED ABOUT $300,000.

SO, UM, THAT'S WHERE WE ARE.

AND SO WE'RE LOOKING TO SEE IF THE CITY MIGHT BE ABLE TO PROVIDE ANY ASSISTANCE WHATSOEVER AND SEE WHERE WE ARE ON IT.

UH, THE, UH, THERE WILL BE A NEW BUDGET ESTABLISHED BY THE MUD AND TRYING TO WORK ON THOSE THINGS AND TRYING TO COME UP WITH SOME OF THE IDEAS THAT WE CAN DO SOME THINGS WITH THE FUNDS THEY'RE ABLE TO COME UP WITH.

ONE OF THAT WE DO HAVE, THE PLAYGROUND WAS PREVIOUSLY INSTALLED.

UM, THE, THE STRUCTURE FOR THE PAVILION IS NOW UP MOST OF THE CONCRETE WORK IS DONE.

UM, SO THAT ONE'S MOVING ALONG RATHER QUICKLY.

UH, IN THE NEXT COUPLE MONTHS, YOU'LL ALSO BE SEEING A LOT OF PROGRESS.

UM, WE HAVE OUR RECREATION AND TENNIS CENTER PICKLEBALL CONVERSION, SO WE'RE CONVERTING ONE OF OUR TENNIS COURTS TO PERMANENT PICKLEBALL.
