(a) Recognition honoring Sharon Valiante for being named the Professional Manager of

Year for Emergency Management by the Texas Public Works Association.

5. CONSENT AGENDA - All consent agenda items listed are considered routine by the City Council
and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items
unless a
Councilmember so requests; in which event, the item will be removed from the Consent

and considered in its normal sequence on the agenda. Information concerning consent

(a) Consider approving the minutes of the special and regular City Council meetings of
June 15, 2009.
(b) Consider declaring exemption to the competitive bid statutes of the Texas Local Government Code and authorize the purchase of emergency repairs on the Key Court
dam.
(c) Consider authorizing purchase of computers from Tech Depot through the US Communities cooperative purchasing program.
(d) Consider awarding contract for purchase of uninterruptible power supplies for traffic signal cabinets.
(e) Consider authorizing a change order to agreement #264-09 SH 6 Median and Intersection Improvements with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc.
(f) Consider assignment of golf course management consulting services agreement from the City of Missouri City to Missouri City Recreation and Leisure Local Government Corporation.

(a) Consider authorizing City Manager to negotiate an interlocal agreement with Harris
County for a watershed media campaign.
(b) Consider acceptance of underwriter’s services for debt issues.
(c) Consider authorizing Staff to submit a grant application through the Department of
Homeland Security under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 for
the
construction of Fire Station Number 5 and Fire Station Number 6.
(d) Consider authorizing Staff to submit a grant application through Houston-Galveston
Area
Council for Solid Waste Implementation in support of the Missouri City Recycling
Center.
(e) Consider authorizing the City Manager to execute a change order for the Municipal
Golf
Course Grounds Maintenance Services Contract.

10. ORDINANCES
(a) Consider an ordinance of the City of Missouri City, Texas, amending City of Missouri
City
Ordinance No. O-02-14, adopted March 18, 2002, as amended; providing terms and
conditions for Employee Family Medical Leave as set forth in the personnel manual;
and
providing for severability; and to consider the ordinance on the second and final
reading.
(b) Consider an ordinance of the City of Missouri City, Texas, amending Chapter 74,
Parks and
Recreation, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Missouri City, Texas, establishing
certain golf course rules and regulations; providing a penalty, providing for
severability;
and declaring an emergency; and to consider the ordinance on the first and final
reading.
(c) Consider an ordinance of the City of Missouri City, Texas, amending the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Missouri City, Texas, by amending Chapter 78 of the City of
Missouri City code of ordinances; amending rules and regulations for the Collection of
Residential Solid Waste in the City; providing a penalty and providing for severability;
and
to consider the ordinance on the first of two readings.
