(a) Proclaim the month of May as "Motorcycle Safety Awareness" month in Missouri City, Texas.
(b) Proclaim the month of May as "Older Americans" month in the City of Missouri City, Texas.
(c) Proclaim the month of May as "Building Safety" month in the City of Missouri City, Texas.
(d) Proclaim the week of May 3 - May 9, 2010, as "Public Service Recognition Week" in Missouri City, Texas.
(e) Proclaim the week of May 9 - May 15, 2010, as "National Police Week" and May 15, 2010, as "Peace Officers' Memorial Day" in Missouri City, Texas.
(f) Proclaim May 16-22, 2010, as "National Public Works Week" in Missouri City, Texas.
(g) Recognition of Councilmember Buddy Jimerson for his twelve years of service to the City of Missouri City.
4. STAFF REPORTS
(a) The Finance Department will provide an updated regarding the issuance of the General Obligation Refunding Bonds passed by City Council at the April 19, 2010, City Council meeting.
5. CONSENT AGENDA - All consent agenda items listed are considered routine by the City Council and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a Councilmember so requests; in which event, the item will be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered in its normal sequence on the agenda. Information concerning consent agenda items is available for public review.
(a) Consider approving the minutes of the special and regular City Council meetings of April 19, 2010.
(b) Consider acceptance of Quarterly Investment Report for period ending March 31, 2010.
(c) Consider approval for the City to become an associate member of Fort Bend Flood Management Association.
6. PUBLIC HEARINGS AND RELATED ACTIONS
(a) Zoning Public Hearings and Ordinances - There are no Zoning Public Hearings and Ordinances at this time.
(b) Public Hearings and related actions
(1) Public hearing to receive comments for or against the Second Amended Project Plan and Reinvestment Zone Financing Plan for Reinvestment Zone Number One; and to consider the ordinance on the second and final reading.
7. APPOINTMENTS - There are no Appointments at this time.
8. AUTHORIZATIONS
(a) Consider authorizing the parkland dedication for Olympia Estates North.
9. PUBLIC COMMENTS - An opportunity for the public to address Council on items/concerns not on this agenda.
10. ORDINANCES
(a) Consider an ordinance of the City of Missouri City, Texas, amending Chapter 62, Municipal Court, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Missouri City, Texas; providing rules and regulations for the operation of Courts, the transfer of cases, and the authority of Judges and the Court Administrator, repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict therewith; and providing for severability; and to consider the ordinance on the second and final reading.
11. RESOLUTIONS - There are no Resolutions at this time.
12. CITY COUNCIL ANNOUNCEMENTS
13. CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION The City Council may go into Executive Session regarding any item posted on the Agenda as authorized by Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code.
