Services, Division for Blind Services.

(a) Update of the City’s plan to consolidate residential solid waste collection services.
6. CONSENT AGENDA - All consent agenda items listed are considered routine by the City Council and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a
Councilmember so requests; in which event, the item will be removed from the Consent Agenda and
considered in its normal sequence on the agenda. Information concerning consent agenda items is

(b) Consider ratifying the purchase of traffic signal equipment.
(c) Consider authorizing the purchase of traffic signal equipment.
(d) Consider authorizing the purchase of generators from Quail Valley Utility District.

9. AUTHORIZATIONS
(a) Consider a Community Event Participation with the 2010 International Festival of Fort Bend
to be held on October 17, 2010.
(b) Consider authorizing City Manager to negotiate an agreement for engineering services for the
Mustang Bayou Service area master plan.
(c) Consider authorizing staff to terminate the professional services agreement with Andrews &
Kurth, LLP.
(d) Consider naming new bond counsel and authorizing staff to negotiate a professional
services agreement for such services.
10. ORDINANCES
(a) Consider an ordinance of the City of Missouri City, Texas, amending chapter 2,
Administration, of the Missouri City code; amending the rules and regulations related to city
boards, committees and commissions; repealing all other ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith; providing for severability; and to consider an ordinance on the first of two
readings.
(b) Consider an ordinance of the City of Missouri City, Texas, amending Chapter 2,
Administration, and Chapter 14, Buildings and Building Regulations, of the Missouri City
code; amending rules and regulations related to the Electrical Board and Electrical Code;
repealing all other ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith; providing for
severability; providing a penalty; and to consider an ordinance on the first of two readings.
11. RESOLUTIONS
(a) Consider a resolution of the City Council of the City of Missouri City, Texas, suspending the
August 6, 2010, effective date of CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, LLC’s requested
rate change to permit the City time to study the request and to establish reasonable rates;
approving cooperation with other cities with the Gulf Coast Coalition of Cities, hiring attorneys
and other consultants to negotiate with CenterPoint and direct any necessary litigation and
appeals; and providing notice of this resolution.
12. CITY COUNCIL ANNOUNCEMENTS
13. CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION The City Council may go into Executive Session regarding any item posted on the Agenda as authorized by Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code.
