6. CONSENT AGENDA All consent agenda items listed are considered routine by the City Council and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a councilmember so requests; in which event, the item will be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered in its normal sequence on the agenda. Information concerning consent agenda items is available for public review.
(a) Consider approving the minutes of the special City Council meetings of February 21, 2014, and February 22, 2014, and the special and regular City Council meetings of March 3,
2014.
(b) Consider the second and final reading of an ordinance to grant a request to rezone an approximate 86.57 acre tract of land from R-1 single family residential district to PD Planned Development district to allow for the use of private water and wastewater treatment and disposal systems for the development of one single-family dwelling and accessory structures; and amend the Comprehensive Plan, as applicable. The subject site is located north of the Westpoint Estates and Oyster Creek Country residential subdivisions, south of the Estates of Silver Ridge residential subdivision and east of Black Creek Village residential subdivision.
(c) Consider the second and final reading of an ordinance amending Chapter 58, Motor Vehicles and Traffic, of the Missouri City Code; amending rules and regulations regarding motor-assisted scooters and providing a penalty.
(d) Consider authorizing the purchase of five motorcycle camera recording systems.
7. PUBLIC HEARINGS AND RELATED ACTIONS
(a) Zoning Public Hearings and Ordinances
(1) Public hearing to receive comments for or against an ordinance amending Section 12, Parking Regulations, of Appendix A, Zoning Ordinance, of the Missouri City Code, to provide rules and regulations relating to parking motor vehicles behind the front building line in certain residential districts; providing a penalty; and consider the ordinance on the second and final reading.
(b) Public Hearings and related actions
(1) Public hearing to receive comments regarding the vacation, closure, and abandonment of certain segments of Senior Road right-of-way and consider an ordinance of the City of Missouri City, Texas, finding and determining that public convenience and necessity no longer require the continued existence of certain segments of Senior Road right-of-way; providing for the vacation, closure, and abandonment of such certain segments of Senior Road right-ofway; containing other provisions relating to the subject; and consider the ordinance on the first of two readings.
8. APPOINTMENTS - There are no Appointments on this agenda.
9. AUTHORIZATIONS
(a) Consider authorizing the Mayor to accept an easement from Fort Bend County for right of way for the extension of Vicksburg Boulevard.
(b) Consider authorizing the Mayor to accept the special warranty deed from Sienna Plantation Municipal Utility District No. 1 for a 0.469 acre tract of land containing a water well.
