(1) Public hearing to receive comments for or against a request to rezone an approximate 2.29-acre tract of land from CF community facilities district to I industrial district; amending the comprehensive plan, as applicable; and consider an ordinance on the first of two readings. The subject site is located northeast of the intersection of US 90A and Beltway 8, south of the Fondren Park residential subdivision; and east of City of Missouri City Fire Station Number 2.
(2) Public hearing to receive comments for or against a request to rezone an approximate 1.2-acre tract of land from LC-2 local retail district to R-2 single-family residential district; amending the comprehensive plan, as applicable; and consider an ordinance on the first of two readings. The subject site is located northeast of Rothwell Street, south of the intersection of Fifth Street and Independence Boulevard, northwest of Lexington Place residential subdivision, and east of the intersection of Fifth Street and Farm to Market Road 1092 (Murphy Road).
(3) Public hearing to receive comments for or against a request to rezone an approximate 4.00-acre tract of land from LC-3 retail district to PD planned development district to allow for the location of a self-storage facility; amending the comprehensive plan, as applicable; and consider an ordinance on the first of two readings. The subject site is located northwest of the intersection of Fifth Street and Farm to Market Road 1092 (Murphy), south of a Meineke Car Care center, and east of the Brightwater residential subdivision.
(4) Public hearing to receive comments for or against a request to rezone an approximate 37.96-acre tract of land from LC-1 local retail restricted district and LC-2 local retail district to PD planned development district to allow for the location of a single family residential development; amending the comprehensive plan, as applicable; and consider an ordinance on the first of two readings. The subject site is located north of Glover Elementary School and Meadowcreek residential subdivision, south of the Knanaya Homes residential subdivision and west of the Quail Green West residential subdivision.
(5) Public hearing comments for or against a request to amend certain architectural and outdoor display regulations and restrictions pertaining to PD Planned Development District No. 8 to allow for the development of a retail sporting goods store and an adjacent shopping center; amending the comprehensive plan, as applicable; and consider an ordinance on the first of two readings. The subject site is located along Sienna Parkway, north of Fort Bend Parkway, south of State Highway 6, east of Oyster Creek Farms residential subdivision, and west of Oakwick Forest Estates residential subdivision.
(b) Public Hearings and related actions
(1) Public hearing to receive comments for or against an ordinance continuing the rules and regulations pertaining to the establishment of a curfew for minors; making certain findings; providing a penalty; and consider the ordinance on the second and final reading.
8. APPOINTMENTS
(a) Consider appointing members to the board of directors for each tax increment reinvestment zone.
(b) Consider appointing members to the Transportation Policy Council and the Technical Advisory Committee for the Houston-Galveston Area Council.
9. AUTHORIZATIONS
(a) Consider authorizing the City Attorney, or her designee, to file a motion to dismiss City of Missouri City v. Eterna P. Benzon and 1839 Ripple Creek, in rem, Cause No. 14-DCV-215725, in the 268th District Court, Fort Bend County.
(b) Consider approving parkland dedication for Sienna South.
(c) Consider authorizing the execution of an agreement for material event monitoring by and between City of Missouri City, Texas, and FSC Continuing Disclosure Services, a division of First Southwest Company.
(d) Consider awarding a contract for the construction of a water transmission main at the Regional Water Treatment Facility.
