STAFF REPORTS (a) City Manager announcements.
All consent agenda items listed are considered routine by the City Council and will be enacted by one motion. (a) Consider approving the minutes of the special and regular City Council meetings of January 17, 2017, and the special meetings of January 23, 2017, and January 28, 2017. (b) Consider accepting the quarterly investment report for the period ending on December 31, 2016.
PUBLIC HEARINGS AND RELATED ACTIONS (a) Zoning Public Hearings and Ordinances (1) Public hearing to receive comments for or against a request to zone an approximate 11.29-acre tract of land presently classified as SD suburban district to LC-3 retail district to allow for uses permitted within LC-3 retail districts; providing for an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan; providing a penalty; and consider the ordinance on the first of two readings. The subject site is located on the west side of Sienna Ranch Road and Highway 6 intersection; east of the Flat Bank Creek/levee; northwest and west of Houston Methodist Emergency Care Center and northeast of Sonic Drive-in restaurant. (2) Public hearing to receive comments for or against a request to amend the regulations and restrictions of PD Planned Development District No. 36 to allow mini-warehouse and outdoor boat and recreational vehicle storage uses within a previously restricted portion of the site; providing for an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan; providing a penalty; and consider the ordinance on the first of two readings. The subject site is located on the southwest corner of the intersection of Bees Passage and Sienna Parkway and includes a shopping center containing a Timewise gas station (4225 Sienna Parkway, Suite 100), a Sienna Cleaners (4225 Sienna Parkway, Suite 300); and a child care center, the Learning Experience at 4112 Bees Loop. AUTHORIZATIONS (a) Consider authorizing the purchase and installation of parking lot expansion and lighting in Hunters Glen Park.
RESOLUTIONS (a) Consider a resolution in support of the submission of an application to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs for housing tax credits for a proposed affordable senior rental housing development named Gala at Texas Parkway by GCI Development Texas, LLC and providing a commitment of development funding for such housing. . (b) Consider a resolution in support of the submission of an application to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs for housing tax credits for a proposed affordable senior rental housing development named Jubilee at Texas Parkway by GCI Development Texas, LLC and providing a commitment of development funding for such housing. (c) Consider a resolution approving the submission of the 2018 grant application for the crime victim liaison grant to the Criminal Justice Division of the Office of the Governor through the Houston-Galveston Area Council and containing other provisions related thereto. (d) Consider a resolution approving the submission of a grant application to the Criminal Justice Division of the Office of the Governor through the Houston-Galveston Area Council to fund the purchase of a mobile video surveillance trailer.
