[00:00:01]

I THINK WE'RE READY TO START.

AND OUR TECHNICIAN THAT'S EVEN OUR COMPUTER TECHNICIAN.

THAT'S LEADING US THROUGH THE NIGHT.

IS MR. TELL ME YOUR NAME AGAIN, SIR.

MR. DOUGLAS, MR. DOUGLAS, HE IS OUR COMPUTER TECHNICAL GUY.

THAT'S GOING TO KEEP US IN LINE AND YOU GET US THROUGH THIS TONIGHT.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH, SIR.

WE APPRECIATE YOUR TIME AND EFFORT AND IN HELPING US GET THROUGH THIS.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

UM, WITH THAT BEING SAID, WE'RE GOING TO GO THROUGH THE ORDER, UM, ACROSS DOOR, UH, HOPE EVERYBODY'S BEEN STAYING SITE HEALTHY AND, AND GOING ALL THE THINGS THAT THE PROFESSIONALS THAT HAVE ADVISED US TO DO.

UH, IT IS REAL, UH, BEFORE WE GO ANY FURTHER, IT IS REAL AND IS OUT THERE AND WE JUST NEED TO FOLLOW THOSE, UH, PROFESSIONAL GUIDELINES.

UH, THIS IS A PUBLIC MEETING AND SO, UH, WE DO HAVE, UH, PEOPLE IN THE PUBLIC THAT ARE, UH, ABLE TO LISTEN IN AS WELL.

[1. CALL TO ORDER]

UH, WITH THAT BEING SAID, IT IS AUGUST SIX, 2020, AND, UH, UH, WE'RE CALLING THE PARKS BOARD MEETING TO ORDER, UH, HOPE EVERYONE'S BEEN STAYING SAFE AND, AND, AND WHAT HAPPENED, UH, WITH THAT BEING SAID, UM, SECOND ITEM ON THE AGENDA IS TO CONSIDER OH ONE EIGHT.

THANK YOU MUCH.

HEY, MR. DOUGLAS IS GOING TO KEEP ME IN LINE.

UH, DO WHAT NEED TO DO A ROLL CALL SO WE CAN VERIFY WHO'S OUT HERE.

UM, THERE'S TURNER HERE, BUDDY SNYDER HERE.

UH, DON JOHNSON HERE, THOMAS ST.

JOHNSON.

OKAY.

I DON'T SEE HER ON HERE.

IT'S PROBABLY SUPPOSED TO OUR BIRTHDAY, I BELIEVE TOO, BUT I'LL COME BACK.

LESLIE MACK, MR. LESLIE MACK.

ALL RIGHT, MS. ROSS, MS. MARY ROSS MAY JOIN US LATER.

SHE, UH, SHE MAY BE LATE ON JOINING.

SHE HAD A PREVIOUS ENGAGEMENT.

UM, SO 10.

YEAH.

GOOD.

CAN YOU HEAR ME? YES, MA'AM.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

UH, BRIAN MERCHANT HERE, VICTORIA PORTER, RAJ HERE.

DIANE JR.

J R.

ALRIGHT AND CLAUDIA.

ALRIGHT, SO THE ONES AT THIS POINT I HAVE GOOD EVENING.

THIS IS LESLIE.

OH, OKAY.

GREAT.

GREAT.

THANK YOU, MR. MATT.

SO AT THIS TIME, THE ONLY ONES I HAVE MISSING IS THOMAS SAYING MARY ROSS AND JR.

EVERYONE ELSE HAVE ACCOUNTED FOR.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

ITEM NUMBER ONE,

[2. CONSIDER APPROVAL OF THE MAY 7, 2020 PARKS BOARD MEETING MINUTES]

UH, SCROLLING ON OVER TO ITEM TWO.

UH, I REMEMBER TOO, IT WAS CONSIDERED A PRO BOWL OF JUNE 4TH, 2020 MEETING MINUTES.

UH, UM, MS. ANDREWS GRACIOUSLY EMAILED US OUT OUR PACKAGES PUDDING, WHICH INCLUDED THOSE MINUTES.

UH, SO YOU HAVE HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO GET THOSE MINUTES BEFORE THE MEETING.

UH, IF THERE'S ANY CORRECTIONS OR MODIFICATIONS THAT NEED TO BE MADE, AND IF YOU ARE PLACE, BRING THOSE TO OUR ATTENTION NOW, UH, WE'LL MAKE NOTE OF THEM AND, UH, ADDRESS THOSE ACCORDINGLY.

I'LL GIVE US A SECOND TO, TO HEAR FROM ANYONE ON THE PARKS BOARD AND IF NOT, AND EVERYONE'S OKAY WITH THEM.

UH, I'LL ENTERTAIN A MOTION TO APPROVE THE JUNE 4TH PARKS BOARD MEETING MINUTES.

YEAH.

I'LL MAKE A MOTION TO ACCEPT THE MINUTES AS WRITTEN MR. MERCHANT MADE THE MOTION.

OKAY.

I'LL SECOND MS. GILL FROM THERE.

I CAN GET ALL THOSE IN FAVOR, SAY AYE.

AYE.

ANY OPPOSED? ALRIGHT, WE'LL MOVE ON TO ITEM NUMBER THREE,

[00:05:06]

WE'RE GETTING A THING, JUST A LITTLE BIT OF FEEDBACK.

I THINK IF EVERYONE, IF YOU'RE NOT GOING TO SPEAK TO SALE AND THEN WHEN YOU GET READY TO MAKE UNMUTE YOURSELF, THAT MAY HELP US WITH THE FEEDBACK.

THANK YOU.

UH, ITEM NUMBER THREE, PUBLIC COMMENTS.

UH, THIS IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR PUBLIC COMMENTS, UH, TO HEAR FROM THE PUBLIC.

AND IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO, UH, ADDRESS THE PARKS BOARD, UM, THEY HAVE, UM, WAYS THAT YOU CAN DO IT, BUT IF YOU'RE ONLINE, WE WILL DEFINITELY ENTERTAIN YOUR CONVERSATION AS WELL.

DO I HAVE ANYONE FROM THE PUBLIC THAT WOULD LIKE TO ADDRESS THE PARKS BOARD AT THIS TIME? THERE WERE NO PUBLIC COMMENTS SUBMITTED.

THANK VERY MUCH MISS ANDREW WITH THAT BEING SAID, WHEN WE'RE GOING OVER

[4. DISCUSSION AND PRESENTATION OF THE VETERANS MEMORIAL PROJECT]

TO ITEM NUMBER FOUR, ITEM NUMBER FOUR IS REVIEW PARKS, BOARD VETERANS, MEMORIAL PAVER.

UH, THIS IS AN ITEM THAT, UH, UH, WE PUT A COMMITTEE TOGETHER LAST MONTH.

WE KIND OF TALK ABOUT THIS AND, AND IT'S SOMETHING I THINK THAT'S TOTALLY WORTH, UH, REPORTING.

AND I'M GOING TO LET THE COMMITTEE, UH, SPEAK ON THIS AT THIS POINT IN TIME.

MS. GILDER.

YES, I GOT WITH SYDNEY ON THIS AND WE SUBMITTED A, UM, JUST A DRAFT OF WHAT WE THOUGHT MIGHT BE A POSSIBILITY OF PUTTING IT ON THE PAPER.

AND I BELIEVE IT'S IN OUR PACKET IF EVERYONE HAD A CHANCE TO READ IT.

YEAH, I DID.

DID ANYONE ELSE HAVE A OPPORTUNITY TO READ IT OR COMMENTS ON IT ARE TO VIEW IT? IS THERE ANY WAY SYDNEY TO SHOW THAT ON THE, THERE IT IS.

SO IT'S A, WE GOT ONE OF THE LARGER PAVERS.

WE PAID A LITTLE EXTRA TO HAVE A, UM, A CLIP ART ON IT.

SO OUR, UM, OPTIONS WHERE THE AMERICAN FLAG, THE DIFFERENT BRANCHES OF THE SERVICE, AND ALSO IT HAD THE MISSOURI CITY PARKS FOUNDATION.

SO I WASN'T REALLY SURE IF THAT WAS SOMETHING WE COULD USE SINCE WE ARE NOT PART OF THAT, UM, COMMITTEE.

SO, BUT THAT IS ONE OF OUR OPTIONS.

SO A FLAG CERTAINLY IS RATHER GENERIC IS SOMETHING TO BE PROUD OF.

WE'RE FINE WITH THAT.

BUT THE, THE, UM, THE PARKS FOUNDATION CERTAINLY DOES LOOK LIKE SOMETHING THAT WOULD REFLECT US.

UM, WE DON'T HAVE A LOGO.

THAT'S WHY WE THOUGHT WE MIGHT PUT MCT X SINCE THAT'S AS CLOSE AS WE CAN GET TO A CITY IDENTIFICATION.

SO THIS IS JUST UP FOR, FOR THE BOARD TO LOOK AT IT.

THERE'S NO RUSH.

IT'S GOING TO BE QUITE A WHILE BEFORE THIS IS ACTUALLY INSTALLED.

WE HAVE PLENTY OF TIME TO THINK ABOUT IT.

CAN WE GET SOME FEEDBACK, INITIAL FEEDBACK FROM ANY BOARD MEMBERS? I THINK IT LOOKS GREAT.

I THINK THEY DID A GREAT JOB.

DO YOU HAVE A PREFERENCE? LARRANCE WHAT DO YOU THINK? AS FAR AS THE CLIP ART GOES, WHAT DO YOU THINK IS APPROPRIATE? WE CERTAINLY DON'T WANT TO DO THE WRONG.

WE DON'T WANT TO MAKE A MISTAKE ON THAT, BUT AGAIN, THOSE WERE OUR OPTIONS.

YEAH.

YOU KNOW, PROBABLY THE, UH, UH, I'M FLEXIBLE EITHER WAY.

I'M OPEN FROM THE BOARD ITSELF.

THE AMERICAN FLAG GROUP ONE, UH, IS, IS, IS NICE.

UH, THAT WORKS, UH, GO BACK TO ONE, FLIP IT BACK UP TO WARREN BARR.

UH, NOT, THEY CAN HEAR ME NOW.

RIGHT? CAUSE IT SAYS MUTE.

THEY CAN'T HEAR YOU.

OKAY.

SO, YOU KNOW, ONE LOOKS GOOD, YOU KNOW, IT'S GOT THE FLAG.

UM, THE WORDING IS PERFECT, YOU KNOW, THAT'S PERFECT.

UH, IT'S JUST A MATTER OF WHICH CLIP ART, YOU KNOW, THE MISSOURI CITY FOUNDATION, IT'S KIND OF A SEPARATE GROUP.

UH, SO, UH, TO MAY SEEM LIKE EITHER THE FLAG WORKS WELL, THAT PROOF ONE WORKS REAL WELL OUT THERE.

YEAH.

I AGREE.

THIS IS BRIAN.

YEAH.

I LIKE THAT PROOF ONE B TWO.

THIS IS VICTORIA.

YEAH.

I AGREE WITH THIS IS RAJ.

I AGREE WITH BOTH THE FEE MR. TURNER AND MERCHANT, YOUR BUDDY.

UM, I LIKE THE NUMBER ONE TRUTH.

UH, FLAG IS VERY, VERY NICE AND NICE LOOKING.

[00:10:02]

EXCELLENT.

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT MCTS PARKS SPORT? OR DO YOU WANT JUST PARKS BOARD? I LIKE VICTORIA.

I LIKED THE MCT TX.

IT SEEMS TO BE OUR THING LATELY.

WE'RE SEEING THAT ON A LOT OF OUR EMAILS FROM THE CITY.

YEAH.

LIKE THE HASHTAG MCTS.

LIKE WE DON'T, WE DON'T HAVE AN OFFICIAL LOGO FOR US.

I THOUGHT THAT WAS ABOUT THE CLOSEST WE COULD GET.

YEAH.

I LIKE IT.

OKAY.

YEAH, BUDDY, IS THERE? YES, I AM.

SO NO, JUST CURIOUS.

I HAVE ALL THE OTHER BOARDS, COMMISSIONS COMMITTEES OF THE SHIT YOU'VE BEEN SOLICITED IN THE SAME MANNER TO CONTRIBUTE.

UM, I, YOU KNOW, I'M JUST GOING TO JUMP IN REAL QUICK.

YOU KNOW, THIS IS JUST SOMETHING THAT WAS BROUGHT TO US.

I THINK LAST FEW BOARD MEETINGS, FYI, THIS IS SOMETHING THAT THE CITY'S DOING.

WE'RE THE ONES THAT JUMPED IN AND SAID, HEY, THIS IS KIND OF A PRICEY THING FOR AN INDIVIDUAL.

WHY DON'T WE DO THIS AS A BOARD? SO WE THOUGHT MAYBE WE WOULD LEAD BY EXAMPLE.

SO I DON'T KNOW, SYDNEY, IF THERE'S SOME WAY YOU CAN GET THE WORD OUT THERE, HOW I'LL, UH, HOW GREAT THE FOX BOARD IS THAT WE, UH, WE DID THIS, I DON'T KNOW HOW WE CAN DO THAT.

AND, AND I'LL, I'LL GO AROUND AND CHIME IN ON THIS AS WELL BECAUSE, UH, YOU KNOW, UH, I KNOW I PERSONALLY MENTIONED THIS A COUPLE OF TIMES FOR US.

AND AS DIANE SAID, YOU KNOW, WE, WE'RE A LEADER, WE'RE NOT FOLLOWERS.

UH, AND SO ONCE ONE SEEDS THEY TEND TO FOLLOW, UH, AND, AND I'VE, UM, WHAT WE'RE DOING TO THE OTHER BOARDS AS WELL, UH, TO LET THEM KNOW WHAT WE'RE DOING, BUT, YOU KNOW, BUT IT WAS SPECIAL.

WE WERE JUST, WE'RE THE NUMBER ONE GROUP.

I MEAN, THAT'S, THAT'S ALL I CAN SAY.

WELL, I, I UNDERSTAND THAT.

I APPRECIATE THAT, BUT THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A TARGETED AMOUNT GIVEN OR NEEDED.

THERE'S NEVER BEEN A PROGRESS REPORT GIVEN.

SO I'M JUST CURIOUS, YOU KNOW, I THINK IT'S A GREAT IDEA.

I THINK IT'S A PERSONAL THING RATHER THAN A BOARD, BUT IF ONE BOARD IS SOLICITED, IF THERE'S A NEED, THEN THE OTHER BOARDS, COMMISSIONS, ET CETERA, SHOULD BE EQUALLY A HIGH FEEL.

YEAH.

WE WEREN'T TO LISTEN.

IT, THIS IS THE LARYNX TURNER SAID, YOU KNOW, LET'S LEAD BY EXAMPLE, BUT WE DIDN'T NOBODY'S TO LISTEN TO US AT THE PARKS BOARD OR ANY BOARD.

UH, IT WAS JUST, UH, JUST, HEY, LOOK, CAUGHT ON THIS, THIS, THIS MAKES SENSE.

AND ONE OF THE THINGS THAT I'VE, I KNOW I PARTICULARLY SAID IT'S, YOU CAN, AND IT'S, IT'S NO PRESSURE, NO ONE, ESPECIALLY DURING THESE TIMES, BECAUSE WE JUST WANT TO REPRESENT THE PART'S BOARD.

AND SO IT'S, IT'S UP TO YOU AS AN INDIVIDUAL.

UH THERE'S NO, YOU KNOW, MASTER LESSON X, THEY'RE DONATED WIRE.

NOW, IF YOU WANT TO, BUT 10 CENTS, NO CENTS, IT REPRESENTS AS A BOARD, THE FUNDS WILL BE PUT THERE.

UH, I GUARANTEE YOU THAT MUCH OF IT.

UH, SO WE'RE JUST DOING IT AS A REPRESENTATION OF THE GROUP.

AND, UM, YOU KNOW, IT WASN'T, LIKE I SAID, IT WASN'T EVER SOLICITED BY THE PARKS FOUNDATION OR ANYTHING.

WE JUST, YOU KNOW, DIANE MYSELF.

WELL, WE ALL THINK IT'S JUST A GREAT IDEA.

AND, AND LIKE I SAID, IT'S NO PRESSURE ON ANY ONE, SO PLAYS BY.

YEAH.

I, I MAKE IT, I'VE MADE THE CONTRIBUTION, MAN.

I DON'T WANNA, I'M JUST THINK THERE'S AN INEQUITY HERE, WHETHER IT'S FORMAL OR INFORMAL, IF THERE'S A TARGETED AMOUNT AND THEY'RE NOT BEING SUCCESSFUL IN GETTING THAT ONE WAY TO APPROACH THAT TARGETED AMOUNT IS TO HAVE EVERY COMMISSION, EVERY BOARD OF THE CITY SUPPORTIVE OF THIS EFFORT.

I WAS JUST CURIOUS WHETHER IT'S BEEN DONE THAT WAY OR NOT, IF IT HASN'T, IT HASN'T, I'M NOT SAYING IT NEEDS TO BE.

YEAH.

TO MY KNOWLEDGE, IT HAS NOT BEEN, UH, TARGETED AT EVERY BOARD.

UM, AGAIN, WE JUST CAME UP WITH IT ON OUR OWN, WE'RE INNOVATIVE THINKERS ON THE PARKS BOARD.

AND SO THAT'S HOW IT CAME TO US.

AND SO WE'LL SUGGEST IT TO THE FOUNDATION.

I MEAN, YOU KNOW, AND, AND I THINK AT THE END OF THE DAY, I KNOW THEY'RE GOING TO COME UP WITH THAT, THAT MONEY'S GOING TO GET THERE.

I MEAN, THESE PAVERS ARE

[00:15:01]

GOING TO BE THE ONLY THING THAT FUND THIS WHOLE PROJECT.

UH, THERE'S OTHER RESOURCES THAT THEY'RE LOOKING AT AS WELL.

UH, AND SO, YOU KNOW, AGAIN, OBVIOUSLY WITH WHAT'S GOING ON NOW, MONEY DOESN'T FLOW AS FREELY, BUT I AM VERY CONFIDENT THAT THIS IS GOING TO HAPPEN AND THAT THE FUNDS WILL BE ESTABLISHED, UH, FOR THIS NOW.

WELL, THEY HAVE ALREADY, THEY HAVE ALREADY SCALED BACK THEIR EFFORT IF I UNDERSTAND CORRECTLY, SORRY, THIS IS JAMES.

YEAH.

SINCE THE WAY THE AGENDA IS WORDED SINCE THIS IS JUST TO PROVE THE, UH, THE PAVER FROM THE PARKS BOARD AND, UH, YOU KNOW, THE SAFEST WAY TO DISCUSS IT WOULD BE WITHIN THIS OPEN MEETING.

UH, I WOULD JUST ASK THAT, UH, OR I RECOMMEND THAT THE DISCUSSION BE LIMITED TO JUST THIS ONE ITEM.

THANK YOU, JAMIE.

ALL RIGHT.

LET'S TALK TO THE PROGRAM AND STICK WITH THAT.

THANK YOU, JAMES.

ANY OTHER COMMENTS WITH REGARDS TO THE PAVER PROOF? OH, SORRY.

THIS IS JASON.

CAN YOU HEAR ME? YES.

UM, I, WE CAN PUT IT ON NEXT MONTH'S AGENDA.

IF YOU'D LIKE US TO GIVE YOU AN UPDATE ON THE VETERANS MEMORIAL PROJECT AND WHERE WE'RE AT BOTH FROM A CONSTRUCTION BID STANDPOINT AND AS WELL AS FROM A FUNDRAISING STANDPOINT, IF YOU, IF YOU'D LIKE THAT, WE CAN PUT THAT ON THE NEXT, UH, NEXT MONTH'S AGENDA.

THANK YOU.

WELL, I'D LIKE TO, I'D LIKE US TO VOTE ON THE PAVER TONIGHT.

I'M ALL FOR IT.

FAVOR ONE VERSUS PAVER TWO.

CAN WE DO THAT? CAN WE SEE PAPER TWO AGAIN? THIS IS LESLIE.

CAN WE SEE PROOF TWO AGAIN? AND MR. SNYDER, YOU'RE MORE THAN WELCOME TO MAKE A MOTION IF YOU WANT TO, UH, TO VOTE ON THIS TONIGHT AS WELL.

I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE A MOTION THAT WE VOTE ON A FAVOR BY THE PARKS BOARD FOR PROOF.

NUMBER ONE.

CAN I GET A SECOND? DIANE SECONDED? UH, ALL THOSE IN FAVOR, SAY AYE.

AYE.

AYE.

ANYONE OPPOSED? ALRIGHT, SO WE'LL GO WITH NUMBER ONE AND, UH, UH, WE'LL MOVE FORWARD WITH IT.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

QUICK, QUICK QUESTION.

WHO DO WE SEND THE FORMS TO? UH, SYDNEY, MR. ANDREW.

WAS THAT MR. MAC THAT ASKED THAT QUESTION? YES.

OKAY.

I CAN SEND THE FORM, UM, AGAINST IT HAS THE ADDRESS TO WHERE YOU WOULD SEND THE CHECK OR YOU CAN COME AND DROP IT OFF AT THE RECREATION CENTER.

WHICHEVER IS MORE CONVENIENT FOR YOU.

SHE'LL EVEN TAKE YOUR CREDIT CARD TO MR. MACK.

OKAY.

OKAY.

IS THERE LIKE, IS THERE A DEADLINE OR WHATNOT? NO, THERE'S NO DEADLINE AS OF RIGHT NOW.

SO JUST WHENEVER YOU CAN GET IT TO ME.

SO SYDNEY, IF YOU DON'T MIND, GO AHEAD AND SEND THAT EMAIL TO THE BOARD ONE MORE TIME.

OKAY.

MATTER OF FACT, I SEE THE EMAIL.

I SEE IT.

THANK YOU.

ALRIGHT, THANK EVERYBODY.

I DO APPRECIATE EVERYBODY'S PARTICIPATION.

WHAT HAVE YOU, UH, WE'RE GONNA MOVE ON OVER TO,

[5. DISCUSSION OF THE REDESIGN AT STA-MO PARK]

UH, ITEM NUMBER FIVE, REVIEW POLICY PART OH DASH OH OH THREE, RELATING TO CONCUSSION PROTOCOL PARK SCORED.

UM, THIS ITEM WAS PUT ON THE AGENDA TONIGHT, UH, BECAUSE IT IS A PUBLIC FACING POLICY.

SO WE ALWAYS WANT TO BRING THOSE POLICIES TO YOU FOR YOUR INPUT AND REVIEW BEFORE WE PUT THEM INTO ACTION.

OBVIOUSLY AGAIN, THIS POLICY IS RELATING DIRECTLY TO A DEPARTMENT WIDE, UH, CONCUSSION PROTOCOL, AND I'M NOT GOING TO READ THROUGH THIS ENTIRE DOCUMENT.

I HOPE YOU HAVEN'T BEFORE YOU'RE IN THE AGENDA PACKET, BUT I DO WANT TO HIT SOME OF THE HIGHLIGHTS JUST SO THAT YOU UNDERSTAND THE PURPOSE OF THE POLICY, WHY IT'S IMPORTANT, WHY WE FEEL IT'S IMPORTANT AND HOW A PLAN TO ENACT IT.

SO ON THE PURPOSE IS TO PUT IN PLACE AN OPPORTUNITY TO EDUCATE AND ESTABLISH A PLAN OF ACTION FOR COACHES, VOLUNTEERS, PARENTS, A THIRD PARTY, USER GROUPS, ANYONE THAT'S USING A CITY FACILITIES, UM, FOR ANY PARTICIPANT THAT SUFFERS OR SUSPECTED OF SUFFERING A CONCUSSION DURING A SPORTING

[00:20:01]

EVENT.

AND SO, UH, THE POLICY, UM, WILL BE THAT ALL AGENTS, AS WELL AS PARENTS OR GUARDIANS OF PLAYERS WILL BE FAMILIAR WITH THE SYMPTOMS AND SIGNS OF CONCUSSION.

BE PREPARED TO TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION AS OUTLINED BELOW IN RESPONDING TO SUCH INCIDENTS.

AND OBVIOUSLY THIS IS SOMETHING THAT WE'VE SEEN A LOT IN THE PAST FEW YEARS.

A NUMBER OF, UM, STUDIES HAVE COME OUT SHOWING THE IMPORTANCE OF THE LONGTERM EFFECTS THAT, UH, ATHLETES HAVE BEEN HAVING FROM CTE, OUR RETIRED NFL PLAYERS COMING OUT WITH CTE AND THE, AND THE LONGTERM EFFECTS THAT HAS ON THEIR BRAINS, UM, FROM REPEATED, UH, TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY.

SO, UM, IT'S IMPORTANT THAT THE PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY IN YOUTH SPORTS ARE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND AND RECOGNIZE THE SYMPTOMS OF WHEN THOSE TYPES OF INCIDENTS OCCUR SO THAT THEY CAN SAFELY REMOVE A PLAYER FROM THAT SITUATION TO MAKE SURE THEY GET A MEDICAL ASSESSMENT BEFORE THEY RETURN TO ACTION.

UM, AND THAT'S, THAT'S BASICALLY WHAT THE ENTIRE PLAN IS BUILT UPON.

SO, UM, YOUTH, YOUTH ATHLETES ARE PARTICULARLY VULNERABLE TO THE EFFECTS OF CONCUSSION.

WE UNDERSTAND THAT, UM, CONCUSSIONS HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO RESULT IN SHORT AND LONGTERM CHANGES IN BRAIN FUNCTION AND EVEN LEADING UP TO SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS SUCH AS CTE AND EVEN DEATH.

UM, SO WE'VE LISTED OUT A NUMBER OF SYMPTOMS HERE, UM, THAT THE PEOPLE NEED TO BE AWARE OF WHEN, WHEN A, YOU KNOW, A, A COLLISION TAKES PLACE OR IF A PLAYER FALLS DOWN SOMETHING THAT PEOPLE CAN KIND OF KEEP AN EYE ON.

SO THAT THEY'RE AWARE OF THESE ARE SYMPTOMS OF A CONCUSSION.

THESE ARE SOMETHING WE NEED TO LOOK OUT AND MAYBE CONSIDER TAKING THIS PLAYER OUT OF THE GAME.

UM, SO WE'VE LISTED A NUMBER OF, OF THE SYMPTOMS THERE.

UM, OBVIOUSLY FOR, UH, FOR OUR DEPARTMENT, SAFETY IS NUMBER ONE PRIORITY FOR ALL OF OUR PARTICIPANTS, NO MATTER WHAT THE, UM, VAN OR ACTIVITY IS.

AND SO THAT'S THE PARAMOUNT CONCERN DURING ANYTHING THAT WE DO.

UM, SO WE'VE ALSO LISTED OUT A NUMBER OF, UM, EXPECTED ROLES.

SO THE COACHES, THE VOLUNTEERS, AND THE STAFFS, AS WELL AS THE OFFICIALS AND THE PARENTS AND GUARDIANS, WE DON'T, AND IT'S VERY CLEAR IN HERE THAT WE DO NOT EXPECT, UM, PEOPLE TO DIAGNOSE A CONCUSSION.

UH, THAT'S, THAT'S THE JOB OF TRAINED MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS.

WHAT WE DO OUTLINE IS THAT WE WANT THESE, UM, PEOPLE INVOLVED IN THE SPORT TO BE ABLE TO OBSERVE THE SYMPTOMS AND UNDERSTAND WHEN IT'S APPROPRIATE TO PULL A PLAYER OUT OF THE GAME.

AND ALSO TO UNDERSTAND THAT THAT PLAYER, ONCE THEY'VE BEEN PULLED OUT FOR A CONCUSSION RELATED, UM, ISSUE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RETURN TO THAT ACTIVITY OR EVENT UNTIL THEY HAVE BEEN MEDICALLY CHECKED OUT BY A TRAINED PROFESSIONAL.

UM, AND THEN WE ALSO LIST, YOU KNOW, WHAT COUNTS AS A QUALIFIED HEALTHCARE PROVIDER.

SO PHYSICIANS, PHYSICIANS, ASSISTANT NURSES, UM, PHYSICAL THERAPIST, OR AN ATHLETIC TRAINER, AND THEN WE HAVE A MANDATED QUARTERBACK, UH, COURSE OF ACTION.

SO BASICALLY LISTING OUT EXACTLY THE STEP THAT NEEDS TO OCCUR ONCE THAT SYMPTOM IS OBSERVED, UH, REMOVE THE PLAYER FROM THE SPORTING EVENT, IF THE PARENT OR GUARDIAN ISN'T, UM, PRESENT NOTIFY THEM.

UH, ANY PLAYERS SUSPECTED OF HAVING QUESTIONS SHOULD BE EVALUATED BY A QUALIFIED HEALTHCARE PROVIDER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

I, AND BEFORE THERE ARE LOTS OF RESUME PARTICIPATION, UM, THEY HAVE TO RECEIVE A WRITTEN STATEMENT FROM A QUALIFIED HEALTH PROVIDER AND RETURN THAT TO THE PARKS RECREATION DEPARTMENT, INDICATING THAT THE PLAYER IS CLEARED TO RESUME IN THE SPORTING EVENT.

UH, AND THEN THERE'S ALSO NOTE IN THERE THAT, UH, CONTINUED CUSTODY, CONCUSSION SYMPTOMS, UH, RAISES SIGNIFICANT RISK FOR A CURRENT CUMULATIVE AND CATASTROPHIC CONSEQUENCES, AGAIN, GETTING INTO LIKE CTE AND LONGTERM BRAIN CHANGES.

UM, AND SO THAT'S WHY IT'S IMPORTANT THAT ATHLETES DON'T RETURN PRIOR TO BEING MEDICALLY CLEARED, UH, AND THEN COMPLIANCE ANYONE THAT DISREGARDS THE WELLBEING OF YOUTH SPORTS PARTICIPANT AS IT RELATES TO CONCUSSIONS WILL BE SUSPENDED INDEFINITELY FROM COACHING AND, OR HAVE THEIR PRIVILEGES TO DEPARTMENT FACILITIES, UH, REVOKED.

AND THIS WILL BE APPLICABLE TO ANY OF OUR DEPARTMENT ACTIVITIES, EVENTS, PROGRAMS, AS WELL AS, UH, RSA LEAGUES AND THIRD PARTY ORGANIZATIONS THAT USE OUR CITY FACILITIES.

UM, AND THEN ADDITIONALLY, AT THE VERY END, WE LINKED A COUPLE OF FREE, UM, CONCUSSION TRAININGS.

UM, I KNOW OUR RECREATION STAFF WENT THROUGH THE CDC TRAINING.

UH, IT WAS A FREE TRAINING AND NOW WE'RE ALL CERTIFIED TO RECOGNIZE THE, THE SYMPTOMS. AGAIN, WE CAN'T DIAGNOSE IT BECAUSE WE'RE NOT TRAINED TO BE MEDICAL HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS, BUT, UH, IT DOES GIVE US THAT BACKGROUND AND KNOWLEDGE TO UNDERSTAND WHEN IT'S APPROPRIATE TO PULL SOMEONE OUT OF A GAME AND WHAT TO LOOK FOR.

UM, ADDITIONALLY THERE IS, UH, A AS SOMETHING MISSING IN HERE IS CALLED THE, THE, UH, CRT FIVE CONCUSSION RECOGNITION TOOL FIVE.

THAT'S ALSO IN THE AGENDA PACKET.

IT'S A SEPARATE KIND OF TOOL THAT'S USED BY

[00:25:01]

LIKE THE OLYMPICS FIFA.

AND IT'S, AGAIN, IT'S JUST A RECOGNITION TOOL THAT WE'D BE ABLE TO PROVIDE TO THE COACHES, TO THE LEAGUES, TO THE PARENTS.

UM, AND IT JUST LISTS OUT, YOU KNOW, IF, IF STEP ONE RED FLAGS.

SO IF THEY SEE SOMETHING AFTER AN INJURY OR COLLISION THAT'S IN THAT BOX, AND THAT'S SOMETHING THEY NEED TO CALL AN AMBULANCE FOR AND GET IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION, UM, STEP TWO WOULD BE MAYBE NOT SOMETHING THAT'S AN IMMEDIATE EMERGENCY, BUT LOOKING FOR, FOR THE CLUES THAT THEY MIGHT HAVE A CONCUSSION, UH, THERE'S A LIST OF SYMPTOMS ON THERE AND THEN A MEMORY ASSESSMENT FOR OLDER ATHLETES, UM, THAT ALSO HELPS MAKE THAT, UM, SEE IF, SEE IF THEY CAN MAKE THE DETERMINATION THAT THEY THINK A CONCUSSION MAY HAVE OCCURRED, UM, AND THEY NEED TO PULL THAT PLAYER OUT.

SO, UH, AND THEN OF COURSE, A LITTLE BIT OF WHAT THEY SHOULD DO AFTERWARDS, BUT, UM, IT'S JUST A QUICK AND EASY TOOL THAT'S EASILY ACCESSIBLE THAT WE CAN PASS ALONG TO VARIOUS USER GROUPS, THE COACHES, THE PARENTS, HOW WE CAN PUT IT ON OUR WEBSITE, UM, AS A WAY TO MAKE SURE THAT WE'RE, UM, YOU KNOW, MAKING SURE PEOPLE ARE AWARE OF, OF WHAT TO LOOK FOR WHEN IT COMES TO CONCUSSIONS.

SO I'LL, UH, BE HAPPY TO OPEN IT UP FOR ANY FEEDBACK OR INPUT OR QUESTIONS AT THIS TIME.

OH, THIS IS SUSAN.

AND I HAVE A QUESTION, I THINK YOU'RE RIGHT ON, RIGHT ON POINT WITH A CONCUSSION PROTOCOL, BUT WILL A COACHES AND ATHLETES BE REQUIRED TO DO ANY SORT OF, UH, A REVIEWER TRAINING BECAUSE OF THIS, BECAUSE IT IS PRETTY SERIOUS PROBLEM.

AND I WAS JUST WONDERING HOW YOU WILL IMPLEMENT THE POLICY ONCE IT'S APPROVED.

RIGHT.

SO, UM, I BELIEVE PART OF RSA, UM, UH, PACKET, IT DOES SAY THAT COACHES ARE REQUIRED TO, TO BE TRAINED IN CONCUSSION PROTOCOL.

UM, AND SO WHEN THEY, WHEN THEY GIVE THAT PAPERWORK INTO US FOR RSA, UM, DESIGNATION, WE KNOW THAT THAT'S, WE GET THE, WE GET THEIR CERTIFICATE AS WELL, UH, WITH THAT.

UM, SO I THINK THAT'S BE SOMETHING WHEN WE IMPLEMENT THIS POLICY, THAT WOULD BE SOMETHING THAT WE WOULD HAVE TO ENACT, UH, YOU KNOW, ACROSS THE BOARD FOR ANY THIRD PARTY ORGANIZATIONS, WHETHER IT'S INSTRUCTORS, UM, OR COACHES, OR IF IT'S AN IN HOUSE LEAGUE.

UH, I KNOW MY STAFF IS TRAINED ON IT, BUT IF WHOEVER'S LEADING THAT, UM, ACTIVITY WOULD NEED TO HAVE PROOF THAT THEY'VE TAKEN SOME SORT OF CONCUSSION TRAINING.

OKAY.

GREAT IDEA.

THANK YOU, KEVIN.

YOU'RE DO DOING TENDER ENACTUS.

UM, UH, I'M SURE WE CAN ENACT IT AS SOON AS WE GET, IF WE NEED TO MAKE ANY CHANGES OR EDITS BASED ON THE FEEDBACK WE RECEIVED FROM FOR BARKS BOARD.

AND THEN OF COURSE AT ANY TIME, YOU KNOW, WE CAN MAKE ADDITIONAL REVISIONS IN THE FUTURE UPON, YOU KNOW, THE ANNUAL REVIEW OF THIS DOCUMENT, BUT, UH, I WOULD ASSUME WE WOULD BE ABLE TO ENACT IT AS SOON AS WE NEED TO, AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

WHAT DOES AN IT CALL FOR FORMALIZED TRAINING FOR THE EXISTING WE'LL DO? WE CAN PUT A, I MEAN, WE COULD PUT A TIME ON THERE, BUT MOST OF THE GROUPS THAT WE HAVE, WE HAVE, THEY ALREADY HAVE LIKE THE, ALL THE RSA GROUPS HAVE A CONCUSSION TRAINING CERTIFICATIONS IN PLACE, BUT WE CAN PUT, WE CAN, WE CAN, IF WE INACTIVE, WE CAN, YOU KNOW, IF THERE'S GROUPS THAT NEED TO HAVE IT DONE, WE CAN PUT A TIMELINE ON IT AND GIVE THEM THE OPPORTUNITY TO GET IT DONE.

UM, AND THAT MIGHT BE SOMETHING WE JUST NEED TO ADD INTO THE POLICY THAT ANY NEW PROGRAMS LEAGUES HAVE TO HAVE IT DONE WITHIN A CERTAIN TIME PERIOD.

HMM.

ANY OTHER COMMENTS? I HAVE ONE, THE NUMBER FIVE PLAYER HAS RECEIVED THAT, AND THAT HAS BEEN PULLED FROM PLAY WELL, WILL WE KNOW THAT THERE'S A PARKS DEPARTMENT? YEAH.

IF IT'S, IF IT'S ONE OF, IF IT'S FROM OUR PROGRAM, IF IT HAPPENED DURING ONE OF OUR PROGRAMS OR ONE OF OUR EVENTS OR IN OUR FACILITIES, ACCORDING TO THIS POLICY, EVEN IF IT'S NOT, EVEN IF IT'S NOT ONE OF OUR PROGRAMS, IF IT IS, YOU KNOW, IN MISSOURI CITY, LITTLE LEAGUE OR RISE SOCCER, UH, THIS POLICY WOULD ENACT THAT THEY WOULD NEED TO NOTIFY US SO THAT WE'RE AWARE THAT THAT OCCURRED.

AND THAT WAY WE ARE THE, THAT ULTIMATELY GET THE APPROVAL FROM THE MEDICAL PROVIDER BACK AND CAN CLEAR THAT FLARE TO RETURN TO THAT EVENT.

ANY OTHER COMMENTS?

[00:30:02]

WHAT IS THE WISHES OF THE PARKS BOARD? THIS IS CLAUDIA.

I HAVE A QUESTION WHEN WE DO INACTIVE, ARE WE GOING TO BE DOING SOME PUBLIC RELATIONS AROUND IT OR SOME ANNOUNCEMENTS, BECAUSE I REALLY THINK IT'S A GREAT PROGRAM.

AND I THINK THIS WOULD JUST BE SOMETHING TO SHARE AND KIND OF BRAG ABOUT THE THINGS THAT ARE PARTS FOR THEIR DOING.

CAUSE I, I DON'T KNOW THAT I'VE SEEN A LOT OF OTHER CITIES DOING THINGS LIKE THAT.

YEAH.

I CERTAINLY THINK, LIKE I SAID, WE WILL DEFINITELY, UM, BE LOOKING TO PUT THIS INFORMATION ON THE WEBSITE AND WE CAN DO FACEBOOK POSTS.

OBVIOUSLY WE'LL PUT IT OUT WHEN WE, UM, UPDATE THE RSA PACKETS OR WHENEVER WE START TO RECEIVE THEIR APPLICATIONS, WE'LL MAKE SURE THAT THEY'RE AWARE OF THE CHANGES TO THE POLICY.

ONCE IT'S AN ACTED AND THEN ANY NEW PROGRAMS OR EVENTS OR INSTRUCTORS OR LEAGUES THEY WANT TO COME IN AND MAKE SURE THEY GET A COPY OF THE POLICY AND ARE AWARE AS WELL.

UM, THE, I DEFINITELY THINK IT'S, IT'S, IT SHOULDN'T BE A PROBLEM FOR US TO MAKE IT PUBLICLY ACCESSIBLE AND, AND, UM, SHAREABLE MR. KEVIN, THIS IS LESLIE MACK.

I THINK IT'S A GREAT IDEA TO HAVE A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS.

WILL THIS BE A CITY ORDINANCE OR WILL THIS JUST BE SOMETHING THAT, BECAUSE MY CONCERN IS WHAT IF THE COACH DOESN'T, YOU KNOW, DOESN'T REPORT HER TO CONCUSSION HOP WAS THE MEANS OF ENFORCING RIGHT AS IT'S WRITTEN RIGHT NOW.

IT'S NOT, WE CAN'T, I THINK, I DON'T THINK WE CAN PUT FORWARD, YOU KNOW, CITY ORDINANCES.

I THINK THAT HAS TO COME FROM CITY COUNCIL.

THIS WOULD BE JUST A DEPARTMENT POLICY IN PLACE.

AND AGAIN, THE, UM, THE COMPLIANCE IS THAT IF THEY DON'T, IF WE FIND OUT THAT THEY HAVEN'T REPORTED TO US, THAT WE COULD THEN EITHER REVOKE THEIR RSA PRIVILEGE, VOTE THEIR MEMBERSHIP, UH, DENY THEM THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE A PARTNER OR OFFER THEIR PROGRAM OR THEIR, UM, EVENT IN THE CITY, IN OUR, IN OUR PROGRAMS, IN OUR FACILITIES.

WELL, MY QUESTION AS A TEAM, OR JUST THE, WHOEVER THE COACH, THE HEAD PERSON OF THE TEAM IS WHO WOULD BE HELD UP RELIABLE? UH, WELL, I THINK THAT THE INITIAL, IT WOULD PROBABLY JUST BE ON THE INDIVIDUAL COACH, BUT I MEAN, I GUESS IT WOULD DEPEND ON HOW WIDESPREAD, IF THIS WAS LIKE A WIDESPREAD ISSUE IS WITHIN ONE ORGANIZATION OR, UM, I THINK IT WOULD PROBABLY BE ON A CASE BY CASE BASIS.

OKAY.

I WOULDN'T WANT TO HOLD, YOU WANT TO BAN, YOU KNOW, NINE GOOD COACHES BECAUSE ONE BAD COACH DID THE WRONG THING.

YOU KNOW, I DON'T WANT TO PUNISH EVERYONE FOR ONE PERSON'S MISTAKES AND THIS IS, THIS IS JASON.

CAN YOU HEAR ME? YES, I'M SORRY.

I, WE HAD A POWER GLITCH AND EVERYTHING SHUT DOWN.

AND SO I'M JOINING NOW ON MY CELL PHONE, BUT I'M REALLY, THIS ISN'T A PUNITIVE, I MEAN, THERE IS SOME PUNITIVE MEASURES IN THERE, UM, THAT WILL ALLOW US TO HOLD OUR, OUR, OUR PARTNERS, UM, ACCOUNTABLE, BUT REALLY THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF THIS IS IT'S AN EDUCATION PROGRAM.

WE WANT TO EDUCATE PEOPLE, UH, ON, ON CONCUSSIONS AND CONCUSSION PROTOCOL.

WE WANT TO RAISE AWARENESS.

WE WANT, WE, WE WANT TO, WE WANT TO TRY TO DO THIS IN SUCH A WAY SO THAT PEOPLE WANT TO, BECAUSE IT'S JUST MORE ABOUT UNDERSTANDING AND UNDERSTANDING CONCUSSIONS AND THE EFFECTS THAT CONCUSSIONS CAN HAVE, ESPECIALLY IN YOUTH SPORTS.

AND SO REALLY THAT'S HOW WE'RE TREATING THIS AS, AS A IT'S, IT'S AN INTERNAL POLICY.

UM, IT'S NOT A, IT'S NOT A LAW OR ORDINANCE OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT.

THIS IS A POLICY THAT ALLOWS US TO OPERATE UNDER BEST PRACTICES AND, AND, UM, KIND OF FURTHERS OUR, OUR, OUR MISSION TO, TO BE SAFE.

UM, SAFETY IS OUR NUMBER ONE, UH, SERVICE STANDARD.

AND SO THIS IS ONE OF THE THINGS THAT ALLOWS US TO, UM, TO, TO JUST RAISE AWARENESS.

AND HOPEFULLY THAT THAT'S WHAT IT TAKES IS THE EDUCATION.

NO ONE WANTS KIDS TO GET HURT.

NO ONE WANTS KIDS TO GIVE, UM, A TO B TO B HAVE SOME PERMANENT DAMAGE CAUSE THEY PLAYED IN A SOCCER LEAGUE.

SO, UM, IT'S REALLY ABOUT THAT EDUCATION AND RAISING THE AWARENESS AND, UH, THE MORE PEOPLE ARE KNOWING AWARE, THEN THEN THE MORE WE CAN WORK TOGETHER TO PROTECT THE KIDS.

AND I WOULD SAY THAT THAT THE MORE AWARENESS THAT IS THE MORE BROAD AWARENESS THAT'S OUT THERE MAKES IT A LOT HARDER FOR SOMEONE TO TRY TO SWEEP IT UNDER THE ROAD AND GET AWAY WITH IT.

YOU KNOW, IF EVERYONE IS AWARE OF WHAT THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO LOOK FOR AND WHAT THE PROPER PROTOCOL IS, THAT MAKES IT A LOT HARDER FOR THE ONE BAD COACH TO BE ABLE TO THINK HE CAN, YOU KNOW, PUT A KID BACK OUT THERE AND PUT THEM AT RISK.

THANKS

[00:35:01]

GENTLEMEN.

GREAT IDEA.

ANY OTHER COMMENTS OR FEEDBACK LET'S SAY SPORT RECOMMENDED PROVING IT, THIS, THIS DOESN'T REQUIRE A MOTION FOR APPROVAL.

THIS IS A, THIS IS OUR OPPORTUNITY TO RECEIVE INPUT AS, AS AN ADVISORY ITEM.

UM, AND WE MOVE FORWARD WITH, UH, THE, UM, THE INPUT THAT WE'VE RECEIVED.

ALL RIGHT.

GREAT JOB.

ALRIGHT.

MOVING ON OVER TO NUMBER SIX OR ANYTHING ELSE FOR THIS ITEM BEFORE WE MOVE FORWARD, IF NOT, WE'LL

[6. STAFF REPORTS]

MOVE ON OVER TO ITEM NUMBER SIX, UH, STAFF REPORTS, OUR PROJECTS.

YEAH.

I'M GOING TO GO AHEAD AND TAKE THAT ONE TONIGHT.

UM, THIS IS JASON AND RANDY HAS PUT TOGETHER SOME, SOME PHOTOS OF SOME ONGOING PARK PROJECTS.

UH, IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN OVER TO AMERICAN LEGION PARK LATELY, PLEASE GO OVER AND SEE THE IMPROVEMENTS THAT WE'VE MADE THERE.

A FEW MONTHS AGO, WE HAD A GRAVEL DRIVE AND GRAB A PARKING LOT AND, AND, UH, NO RESTROOMS, NO SHADE.

UH, WE NOW HAVE A PAVILION AND RESTROOMS AND PAY PARKING LOT AND, UM, SOME NIGHTS SOME NEW LANDSCAPING AND, AND, UH, IT'S, IT'S A BEAUTIFUL, IT'S A BEAUTIFUL FACILITY.

THE AMERICAN LEGION THAT, UH, THE ORGANIZATION HAS ASKED IF WE COULD, THEY COULD REDEDICATE THE PARK, UM, ON VETERAN'S DAY THIS YEAR, AND WE'RE GOING TO MOVE FORWARD PURSUING, UH, PURSUING THAT.

BUT IF YOU LOOK AT, UH, THAT PICTURE IN THE PACKET UNDER JULY, UH, THE PICTURE LOOKING OUT AT THE LAKE WITH THE LANDSCAPING AND THE PAVILION, IT'S A, UM, THE IMPROVEMENTS ARE REMARKABLE AND WE'RE, WE'RE REALLY PROUD OF THAT PROJECT.

UM, MOSTLY PARK HAS HAD ONGOING, UH, ONGOING IMPROVEMENTS FOR, UH, FOR THE PAST A YEAR.

UH, WE JUST FINISHED PAVING THE PARKING LOT.

THERE ONLY HALF OF IT WAS USABLE.

THE OTHER HALF WAS CAVING IN ON ITSELF.

IT HAD A REALLY BAD, UH, WHERE, AND SO WE'VE JUST FINISHED THAT.

SO, SO FAR TO DATE AND MOSTLY PARK IN THE PAST YEAR OR THIS FISCAL YEAR WE'VE, UH, WE'VE SENT OUT THE, THE TREES ON THE SOUTH SIDE, WE'VE IMPROVED THE LANDSCAPING WITH SOME ADDITIONAL PLANTINGS, UH, WE'VE EXTENDED THE SIDEWALK SO THAT THE, THE SIDEWALK CONNECTS NOW INTO THE PARK, INTO THE OYSTER CREEK TRAIL.

UM, WE'VE DONE THE PARKING LOT AND NOW THE NEXT THING WE'LL DO IS, UM, WE'RE GONNA, ONE OF OUR NEW PARK SIGNS WILL BE, UM, HOPEFULLY FINISHED BEFORE THE END OF THE YEAR.

UM, WE'VE DONE THREE OF THE PARK SIGNS.

WE HAVE THREE MORE THAT WE'RE PLANNING ON DOING, UH, RIGHT NOW, MOSLEY PARK, INDEPENDENCE PARK AND ROME PARK.

AND THEN, UM, THE TRAIL FIRST COLONY, UH, IS BEING PAID, WHICH IS LONG OVERDUE.

UH, THAT'S, UH, BEEN, UH, IT'S A DG DECOMPOSED GRANITE TRAIL THAT, UM, HAS HAD A LOT OF, UH, ISSUES.

AND, UH, WE'RE GONNA, WE'RE IN THE PROCESS OF, UH, PAVING THAT RIGHT NOW.

UM, THOSE ARE THE MAJOR PROJECTS AND THE THINGS THAT WE'RE WORKING ON OTHER THAN THE VETERANS MEMORIAL VETERANS MEMORIAL WAS IN REVIEW RIGHT NOW, UH, PLAN REVIEW BUILDING REVIEW, AND WE'LL HOPEFULLY BE OUT TO BID IN THE NEXT WEEK.

I'M HOPING MAYBE TO, UM, SO THOSE ARE THE, THOSE ARE THE MAJOR PROJECTS THAT, UH, THAT WE'RE WORKING ON RIGHT NOW.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO CAP THE TOP OPERATIONS AND RECREATION.

OH, YOU READY FOR ME NOW? YES, SIR.

MR. HAMILTON.

OKAY.

WE'VE GOT TWO MONTHS WORTH IN THERE.

THERE'S NOTHING REALLY OUTSTANDING.

JUST YOUR REGULAR MAINTENANCE, MOWING REPAIRS DUE TO A CORONA CORONAVIRUS.

WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DO SOME OTHER REPAIRS THAT WE HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO GET TO IN THE PAST, BUT I'M HERE TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS YOU MIGHT HAVE.

I HAVE A QUESTION, BARRY.

THIS IS DON SURE.

ARE THE PLAYGROUNDS IN THE PARKS STILL OFF LIMITS TO PEOPLE? YES, SIR.

THE PLAYGROUNDS AND THE BATHROOMS. I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY TIMES PEOPLE HAVE PUT UP A YELLOW TAPE ACROSS THE RIDGE VIEW, BUT, UM, PEOPLE HAVE BEEN TAKING HIM DOWN.

[00:40:01]

YEP.

THEY DO THAT ACROSS OUR PARKS SYSTEM.

ANY OTHER QUESTIONS? OKAY.

ALRIGHT.

RECREATION, MR. BROWN.

ALL RIGHT.

UM, GIVE ME ONE SECOND.

LET ME PULL IT BACK UP HERE.

OKAY.

SO OBVIOUSLY, UM, YOU KNOW, RECREATION IS STILL BEING HEAVILY IMPACTED BY COVID.

WE ARE THE RECREATION CENTER.

THE CENTER IS OPEN AGAIN.

WE ARE ABLE TO HAVE VERY LIMITED, UM, OFFERINGS RIGHT NOW IN PERSON, YOU KNOW, SO WE HAVE TENNIS, UH, WE HAVE FITNESS ROOM RESERVATIONS, UH, PHILLIP PAINTING CLASS AND, UH, VIRTUAL SUMMER CAMP, UH, AS BASICALLY, UM, ALL WE'VE BEEN AUTHORIZED TO DO AT THIS TIME, BUT WE DID MEET, UH, LAST WEEK TO BEGIN TO PLAN OUT OUR FALL PROGRAMS. UM, AND WE ARE MAKING MODIFICATIONS TO, UH, OFFER VIRTUALLY IF, IF NECESSARY IS STILL, IF WE STOPPED TO GO THAT ROUTE, AS WELL AS, YOU KNOW, IF WE'RE ABLE TO GO BACK EITHER ON A MODIFIED LIMITED IN PERSON BASIS OR, UM, YOU KNOW, FULLY REOPENED.

UM, BUT WE DO HAVE SOME EXCITING, UH, PROGRAMS AND EVENTS THAT WE'RE GOING TO START UP THIS FALL.

UH, AND WE'RE TRYING TO BE AS CREATIVE AS POSSIBLE, YOU KNOW, TO KEEP PEOPLE ENGAGED, WHETHER IT'S IN PERSON OR WHETHER IT'S VIRTUAL.

UM, AND I DO WANT TO BRIEFLY BRING UP, UM, ONE OF THOSE THINGS, WE'VE STARTED A NEW SENIOR, UH, FACEBOOK GROUP.

AND IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN JOINING IT, YOU CAN EMAIL AND LICKERI, OR YOU CAN JOIN LOOK ON FACEBOOK, IT'S MCT, EX SENIORS.

UM, AND SO THERE'S GOING TO BE SOME VIRTUAL PROGRAMS WE'RE GOING TO BE OFFERING THROUGH FACEBOOK FOR THE SENIORS, BECAUSE I KNOW AT THIS TIME THEY'VE BEEN PROBABLY THE MOST UNDERSERVED AND THE MOST EFFECTED BY COVID ISSUES.

UM, AND SO WE'RE, WE'RE TRYING TO FIND SOME NEW WAYS TO KEEP, KEEP THE SENIORS ENGAGED AND, UH, OFFER THEM SOME OPPORTUNITIES TO, UM, BE ABLE TO ENJOY THEMSELVES OUTSIDE OF THE GRANT OF OURS.

UM, SO THE NUMBERS FOR JULY OR IN THE REPORT, OBVIOUSLY WE DID HAVE TO CANCEL 4TH OF JULY.

UM, WE WERE ABLE TO DO A PARK CLEANUP AND AMERICAN LEGION PARK.

I BELIEVE THE 11TH OF JULY, WE HAD 26 VOLUNTEERS SHOW UP FOR THAT.

AND THEN ONE OF THE NEW THINGS THAT WE'RE GOING TO BE DOING THIS FALL THAT WE HAD OUR FIRST EVENT FOR WAS LAST FRIDAY WAS THE DRIVE UP MOVIE, WHICH WE HELD A COMMUNITY PARK, UH, TO MAKE SURE THERE WAS PLENTY OF ROOM FOR PHYSICAL DISTANCING.

AND, UH, WE HAD A GREAT TURNOUT.

WE HAD 25, WE HAVE MAXIMUM OF 25 CARS, 25 CARS REGISTERED.

SO WE GOT A FULL REGISTRATION.

UH, WE SHOWED SONIC THE HEDGEHOG.

WE HAD A BUNCH OF FAMILIES OUT THERE WITH THEIR KIDS HAVING A GOOD TIME, UM, YOU KNOW, GETTING OUT OF THE HOUSE, BEING ABLE TO DO SOMETHING FUN, BUT, YOU KNOW, MAKING SURE THAT THEY WERE SAFE AT THE SAME TIME.

AND SO WE DO HAVE A FALL MOVIE, UM, NIGHT KIND OF PLANNED OUT FOR SEPTEMBER, OCTOBER, NOVEMBER.

UM, AND SO WE'RE EXCITED THAT WE'RE GOING TO BE ABLE TO OFFER, UH, SOME NEW PROGRAMS AND SOME NEW WAYS TO GET PEOPLE ENGAGED, EVEN IF WE STILL HAVE TO CONTINUE WITH THE PHYSICAL DISTANCING.

UM, SO THAT'S, THAT'S BASICALLY IT OBVIOUSLY REVENUES ARE DOWN A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT COMPARED TO LAST YEAR.

UM, BUT OBVIOUSLY, I MEAN, WE'D REALLY JUST CAN'T DO MUCH ABOUT THAT BECAUSE WE CAN'T OFFER, BUT FOUR PROGRAMS, FIVE PROGRAMS WHEN WE'RE NORMALLY OFFERING, YOU KNOW, 20 OR 30 THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER.

SO I'M HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS YOU HAVE AT THIS TIME.

AND I LOVE THE IDEA OF THE DRIVE IN MOVIE, WAS EVERYBODY IN THEIR CAR OR WERE THEY SITTING OUT IN CHAIRS AND BLANKETS? WE LET THEM, UH, WE WE'VE SPACED UP THE PARKING SPACES SO THAT THERE WAS, YOU KNOW, AT LEAST A FULL SPACE IN BETWEEN VEHICLES THAT WE KIND OF OFFSET THEM, YOU KNOW, SO THEY WEREN'T ALL RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER.

UM, SO SOME PEOPLE WERE OUT SITTING ON LAWN CHAIRS AND SOME PEOPLE WERE IN THEIR CARS AND JUST KIND OF WAS PERFECT PERSONAL PREFERENCE.

GREAT IDEA.

THAT REQUEST, GO AHEAD.

UH, HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE ALLOWED IN THE WEIGHT ROOM AT ONE TIME NOW? UH, 10, WE CAN ONLY DO 10, 10 RESERVATIONS FOR EACH TIME SLOT.

OKAY.

AND, UM, I DO, I UNDERSTAND THAT PEOPLE KNOW THAT THEY'RE A YEAR PASS.

WHO'S INSPIRED IN JULY ARE EXTENDED TO THE AMOUNT OF DAYS.

YES.

WE EXTENDED A BELIEVER WE'RE CLOSED FOR 94 DAYS.

AND SO WE TOOK, WE REOPENED, I DON'T RECALL THE EXACT WHATEVER DAY WE REOPENED TO THE PUBLIC.

WE ADD IN 94 DAYS ONTO EVERY MEMBERSHIP THAT WAS ACTIVE FROM THE TIME WE SHUT DOWN MARCH 13TH.

SO IF YOU HAD AN ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP ON MARCH 13TH, WHETHER IT EXPIRED BETWEEN

[00:45:01]

MARCH 13TH AND TODAY IT'S BEEN EXTENDED FOR 94 DAYS FROM, I WANNA SAY, JUNE OR WHATEVER WE'VE RE REOPEN IN JUNE.

I THINK KEVIN, THIS IS MUDDY.

IS THERE ANY CHANGE IN LEAGUE PLAY FOR CHEMISTS? UH, NO, NOT AT THIS TIME.

WE HAVE NOT BEEN GIVEN APPROVAL TO EXPAND ON ANY OF OUR CURRENT OFFERINGS.

AND THE SECOND QUESTION IS, IS THE KAYAKING CANOE TRAINING ON SCHEDULE? I KNEW THE QUESTION WAS GOING TO COME UP AND I ACTUALLY GOT AN EMAIL BACK FROM TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE YESTERDAY.

THEY STILL HAVE NOT BEEN APPROVED TO DO IN PERSON TRAINING.

THEY DID TAKE MY SUGGESTION, UM, TO SEE, UH, I SUGGESTED IF THERE WAS A WAY THAT THEY COULD MAYBE COME UP WITH A VIRTUAL TRAINING, THEY ARE WORKING ON A VIRTUAL TRAINING PROGRAM.

IN THE MEANTIME, SHE DID GIVE ME THE NAME OF, UH, ACA INSTRUCTOR OF WHO I'M GOING TO REACH OUT TO.

THE ONLY THING WITH THAT WOULD BE ANY ACA INSTRUCTION THAT WE GO THROUGH WOULD HAVE TO BE A PAID.

WHEREAS THE TEXAS SPARKS MODEL OF TRAINING WAS GOING TO BE FREE AND WE'RE GOING TO BE ABLE TO GET ALL OUR TRAPS STAIN, UH, OUR STAFF TRAINED.

UM, BUT IF WE NEED TO, IN ORDER TO GET THE KIND OF THING UP AND RUNNING, IF WE NEED TO GET ONE OR TWO OF OUR STAFF ACA TRAINED AND PAY FOR IT, I THINK THAT'S SOMETHING I'M GOING TO TRY TO PURSUE IF, UH, PROBABLY SOONER THAN LATER, BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW HOW LONG TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE IS GONNA, UM, BE LIMITED ON WHAT THEY CAN DO RIGHT YESTERDAY.

SO I'LL, UH, FOLLOW UP WITH IT TOMORROW OR MONDAY AND SEE WHAT WE CAN FIGURE OUT WHAT THEY SEE.

WE'RE READY TO GET PEOPLE BACK OUTSIDE IN ANY WAY POSSIBLE.

SO, AND I WANT TO GET ALL THOSE TAX, ANY OTHER QUESTIONS FOR KEVIN? ALRIGHT, THANK YOU VERY MUCH, GENTLEMEN.

WE APPRECIATE IT.

UM, WHAT ARE WE GOING

[7. DIRECTORS REPORT]

DOWN TO THE NEXT ITEM? DIRECTOR'S REPORT, MR. JASON, UH, THANK YOU, KAREN TURNER.

UH, JUST A COUPLE MORE THINGS THAT I WANT TO BRING UP AS WE MOVE FORWARD.

UM, THE, THE, UH, WELL, A COUPLE QUICK THING, UH, THE COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT, WE'VE WITH THE COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT TO RELEASE A SURVEY ON PUBLIC ART.

UM, IF YOU'VE SEEN THE PRESS RELEASES OR, UM, THE INFORMATION THAT'S GONE OUT FROM, FROM OUR COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT OR LENDING TO THAT, IT'S, UH, A SURVEY THAT WE'VE BEEN ASKED BY CITY COUNCIL TO EXTEND TO THE PUBLIC.

SO WE CAN GET SOME, UH, A LITTLE BIT MORE DATA FROM OUR RESIDENTS ON THEIR THOUGHTS, ON THE VALUE OF PUBLIC ART TYPES OF ART, AND, UM, TO, TO REACH OUT AND TRY TO FIND PEOPLE WHO MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN SERVING ON AN ARTS COMMISSION, THAT SURVEY IS LIVE.

UM, IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT AND WOULD LIKE TO DO IT, MAYBE SYDNEY COULD JUST SEND OUT A LINK TO THE ENTIRE BOARD WOULD ENCOURAGE AS MUCH PARTICIPATION AS POSSIBLE AS WE TRY TO, UH, GATHER THE DATA NECESSARY FOR US TO MAKE GOOD DECISIONS RELATED TO, UM, PUBLIC ART.

UM, IN ADDITION TO THAT, UH, WE HAVE BEEN WORKING REALLY, REALLY HARD ON OUR ACCREDITATION PROCESS.

OUR GOAL IS TO BE, UH, TO ACHIEVE OUR ACCREDITATION, UH, NEXT YEAR IN 2021, WHICH MEANS THAT WE WOULD NEED TO HOST ON ACCREDITATION VISIT TEAM IN THE SPRING, UM, PENDING EVERYTHING BEING NORMAL.

UM, WE ARE WORKING TOWARDS THAT, UM, BASICALLY THAT WOULD CONSIST OF THREE TRAINED PARKS AND RECREATION PROFESSIONALS WHO ARE TRAINED TO ACCREDITATION VISITORS TO COME.

WE WOULD, WE WOULD BRING THEM TO MISSOURI CITY.

WE WOULD SHOW THEM ALL THE GREAT THINGS THAT WE HAVE TO OFFER, AND WE WOULD HAVE THEM GO THROUGH ALL OF OUR DOCUMENTATION, UH, ALL OF THE STANDARDS, UH, TO, TO MEET THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENT, TO BECOME AN ACCREDITED PARKS AND RECREATION AGENCY.

AND THEY'D LOOKED THROUGH ALL OF OUR POLICIES, OUR PLANS, OUR PROCEDURES, AND THEN EVIDENCE THAT THEY'RE NOT JUST ON PAPER, BUT THAT ARE ACTUALLY, UM, IN PRACTICE.

UH, THIS ARE BECAUSE WE'RE KIND OF WORKING OUR WAY BACKWARDS FROM, UH, THE ACCREDITATION DATE.

UH, OUR GOAL IS TO HAVE THESE THINGS, THESE POLICIES, PROCEDURES, PLANS SUBSTANTIALLY COMPLETED BY THE END OF SEPTEMBER, WHICH MEANS THE SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER, UH, BOARD MEETINGS MIGHT HAVE SEVERAL POLICIES OR PROCEDURES THAT ARE, THAT ARE PUBLIC FACING THAT WILL COME TO YOU FOR, FOR YOUR INPUT, UM, WHICH WE VALUE.

AND, UH, WE W WE WOULD, UH, THEN IMPLEMENT THOSE AS PART OF OUR PROCESS.

UM, AND AT THE END OF SEPTEMBER,

[00:50:01]

BEGINNING OF OCTOBER, WE WOULD THEN RE BEGIN OUR INTERNAL REVIEW PROCESS, AND WE WERE GOING TO REVIEW AND REVIEW AND REVIEW, AND WE'RE GOING TO GO THROUGH ALL OF THESE STANDARDS AND MAKE SURE THAT NOT ONLY DO WE MEET THEM, UH, UM, IN POLICY PROCEDURE, BUT ALSO IN PRACTICE.

SO, UH, WE, WE'RE REALLY EXCITED ABOUT WHERE WE'RE AT AND THEN THE DIRECTION WE'RE GOING ON THAT.

AND, UH, YOU KNOW, UH, AS I'VE MENTIONED BEFORE, THERE'S, THERE'S ONLY TWO, TWO, UM, TO PARKS AND RECREATION AGENCIES IN THE HOUSTON METRO AREA THAT ARE CURRENTLY ACCREDITED.

IT'S A CITY OF HOUSTON AND THE CITY OF MARYLAND, UM, OUR FRIENDS OVER IN DEER PARK, WE'RE WORKING ON IT THIS YEAR.

SO WE'RE HOPING THAT WE'LL BECOME EITHER THE THIRD OR THE FOURTH, UH, IN THE HOUSTON METRO AREA.

UM, IT'S, IT'S QUITE A, IT'S QUITE AN ACCOMPLISHMENT.

AND, UH, WE'RE REALLY, REALLY PROUD OF OUR TEAM AND THE WORK THEY'VE PUT THROUGH.

UM, THESE STANDARDS RANGE ACROSS THE BOARD FROM, YOU KNOW, OUR RECREATION PROGRAMMING, UH, TO FINANCE, TO SAFETY AND SECURITY.

AND, AND YOU'VE SEEN A LOT OF THESE THINGS THAT WE'VE BEEN TRYING TO PUT INTO PLACE AS A RESULT OF THIS PROCESS, SUCH AS OUR, OUR, UH, SAFETY MANUAL, THINGS LIKE OUR CONCUSSION PROTOCOL.

AND, UH, NEXT MONTH, WE'RE GOING TO BE BRINGING TO YOU, UH, A CODE OF, UH, UM, CODE OF CONDUCT FOR OUR PARTICIPANTS AND OTHER THINGS THAT WILL, UM, UH, IMPACT THE PUBLIC, UM, THAT, THAT TAKES, THAT TAKES A LOT OF OUR TIME AND ENERGY RIGHT NOW.

BUT WE FEEL THAT WHEN WE FINISH THIS PROCESS, WE WILL BE, UH, A MUCH BETTER DEPARTMENT.

WE'LL BE MORE EFFICIENT, UH, MORE RESOURCEFUL, AND THAT OBVIOUSLY OPERATING UNDER BEST PRACTICES.

UM, THE LAST THING THAT I WANT TO BRING UP TO YOUR ATTENTION, THIS IS KIND OF LIKE A PREVIEW OF THINGS TO COME.

UM, IF YOU WERE AROUND ON THE PARKS BOARD, UH, IN SEVERAL YEARS AGO, SO WE, UH, WENT THROUGH THE, OUR MASTER PLANNING PROCESS.

OUR MASTER PLAN WAS A FIVE OF YOUR MASTER PLAN.

IT WAS A, UM, I THINK IT WAS A CONSTRUCTED AND PUT TOGETHER IN 2012, 2013, 2014, AND APPROVED IN 2015.

UM, HOPEFULLY THE NEXT PR UH, PROCESS WON'T TAKE THAT LONG, BUT, UH, IT WAS APPROVED IN 2015, WHICH MEANS IT WOULD HAVE EXPIRED THIS YEAR.

SO, UM, WE'VE PUT IT INTO OUR BUDGET TO, TO REDO THAT, UH, MASTER PLAN.

IT'S A REALLY IMPORTANT DOCUMENT.

THE MASTER PLAN REALLY DRIVES A LOT OF THE DECISIONS, UM, HOW WE DO THINGS AND WHY WOULD YOU THINGS, AND SO REAL HEAVY, UH, CITIZEN INPUT ON THIS, WE WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT WE'RE DOING THE THINGS THAT, UM, THE RESIDENTS MISSOURI CITY WANT US TO DO.

AND SO, UM, THE MASTER PLAN BASICALLY DRIVES OUR STRATEGIC PLAN, WHICH IS OUR FIVE YEAR PLAN OF WHAT WE WANT TO ACCOMPLISH, UH, WHICH DRIVES OUR ANNUAL WORK PLAN OR OUR BUSINESS PLAN THAT WE CALL THEM.

AND SO, UM, IT'S REALLY IMPORTANT THAT WE GET THAT MASTER PLAN, RIGHT, BECAUSE IT, IT, UH, HAS A TRICKLE DOWN EFFECT, UH, FOR WHAT WE DO ON A DAILY BASIS.

SO, UM, HOPEFULLY WE'LL BE ABLE TO DO THAT IN THE FIRST QUARTER OF, UH, OF THE FISCAL YEAR, 2021.

SO OCTOBER, NOVEMBER, DECEMBER, WE'LL GET THAT ROLL.

AND HOPEFULLY IF WE'RE ABLE TO BE THAT NIMBLE, UH, IN GETTING THE PROCESS PUT TOGETHER.

SO, UM, THOSE ARE SOME OF THE, SOME OF THE THINGS THAT WE'RE WORKING ON, THINGS, SOME OF THE THINGS THAT WE'RE EXCITED ABOUT, AND I'LL BE HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS.

YOU MAY HAVE ANY COMMENTS FROM BOARD MEMBERS.

WOW, FANTASTIC.

MARY ROSS HERE.

I HAVE TO SAY I DID COME A LITTLE LATE, BUT I'VE BEEN HERE LISTENING AND GOING OVER MY PACKET AS WE GO.

AND I'M GOING TO TELL YOU THAT, THAT SOUNDS IT.

I THINK I HAVE TO JUST SAY DITTO TO THE, WOW.

WOW.

I THINK YOU'RE DOING A GREAT JOB.

WELL, WE APPRECIATE IT, BUT, UM, PLEASE KNOW THAT WE, WE COULDN'T DO IT WITHOUT YOU GUYS AND YOUR SUPPORT AND, UM, BEING OUR ADVOCATES, UH, HERE AND MEETING LIKE THIS, BUT ALSO OUT IN THE COMMUNITY.

UH, IT REALLY IS SOMETHING THAT WE VALUE AND I I'VE, I'VE BEEN THE PARKS AND RECREATION DIRECTOR FOR, UM, FOUR DIFFERENT FOUR DIFFERENT, UH, CITIES.

AND THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST PART FOR THAT I'VE EVER WORKED WITH.

SO THANK YOU, MOM.

AND WE PAID FOR THAT ENDORSEMENT.

ALL RIGHT.

WITH THAT BEING SAID, AND THERE'S NO OTHER QUESTIONS FOR THE DIRECTOR.

UH, WE'LL MOVE ON OVER TO BOARD REPORTS, ITEM NUMBER EIGHT.

UH, DO WE HAVE ANY BOARD MEMBERS THAT NEED TO MAKE A REPORT? I KNOW IT'S PRETTY

[00:55:01]

HARD RIGHT NOW BECAUSE YOU CAN'T GO ANYWHERE, UH, WITH NOTHING BEING SAID,

[9. ITEMS FOR NEXT AGENDA]

WE'LL MOVE ON OVER TO ITEM NINE ITEMS FOR NEXT AGENDA.

UH, THE ONE ITEM I KNOW WE DO HAVE IS, UH, WITH REGARDS TO THE VETERANS MEMORIAL, YOU'LL DO AN UPDATE ON THAT ITEM FOR US.

JASON, THANK YOU VERY MUCH, SIR.

ARE THERE ANY OTHER ITEMS THAT WE NEED TO, UH, PUT ON THE AGENDA FOR NEXT MEETING? AND HERE'S THE DEAL.

IF YOU'VE COME UP WITH SOMETHING, UH, IN THE INTERIM BETWEEN NOW AND DAN, UH, JUST SHOOT MYSELF AN EMAIL OR JASON OR A MS. ANDREWS BETWEEN THE THREE OF US.

UH, WE'LL MAKE SURE WE TRY TO GET IT ADDRESSED.

AND ON THE AGENDA, DOES ANYONE FROM THE PORCH BOARD HAVE ANYTHING THEY WANT TO ADD BEFORE I GO TO A GERMAN? ALL RIGHT.

WELL, WITH THAT BEING SAID, I STILL WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT, UH, EVERYONE CONTINUED TO, UH, UH, DO WHAT THE PROFESSIONALS TELL US TO DO, UH, WHERE YOU'RE MASKING PUBLIC, UH, UH, SOCIAL DISTANCE, UH, WASH YOUR HANDS.

DON'T TOUCH YOUR EYES, THOSE TYPES OF THINGS THAT ARE ALL OVER THE PLACE RIGHT NOW, EVEN ON THE NEW COMMERCIALS THAT ARE OUT THERE, UH, AND JUST STAY SAFE AND HEALTHY.

WE TOO SHALL GET THROUGH THIS AS WELL.

AND IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR NEED ANYTHING BY ALL MEANS, REACH OUT TO US.

WE'LL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO TRY TO HELP OUT WITH THAT BEING SAID, WE ARE ADJOURNED.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

UH, STAFF MS. DOUGLAS, UH, FOR HELPING US OUT THROUGH THIS MEETING AND, UH, EVERYONE ENJOYED THEMSELVES AND HAVE A PRODUCTIVE WEEKEND.

THAT'S GREAT.
